Once upon a time, Urías was projected as a .300 hitter by scouts. What happened???

Without major changes to his mechanics he will never hit .250

I would include him in a trade this offseason.  He’s not worth paying more than the league minimum at this point and we have replacements

He put on a Brewers uniform. That takes .050 to .080 off of your BA almost immediately.

This is one of the few times I can truthfully say there are no players on the roster that I would not consider in a trade.

Some would have a higher price tag but there is not a single "Hard No"

As soon as football begins on Thursday it will be nice to go without following this team.

wait until you see how far back this team is going to be out of the wild card spots by the end of the New York series

you won’t even know that they were a 95% chance to make the playoffs or whatever bull crap that was

The lean back approach that has him and Adames hitting 220.

Huira has a better chance of hitting .300, And his chances are pretty damn low.

So entering tonight Cruz had an OPS 1.064 against the Brewers. It's his highest opponent OPS. There's only one other opponent of his where he's even over .800. He just murders the Brewers. In the last 30 minutes of the game he walked, scored the go-ahead run, doubled and knocked in an insurance run, finally getting the last out of the game on a throw to first only he could make.

Our pitching is overrated.   It’s. Not horrible      But it’s very overrated especially by our fans

I’m a Brewers lifer. I’ve been a fan since 1979, and I’ll probably go to my grave still hoping to see my team in the Series once more.

Losing…I’m used to it.

But when when we were losing, and losing a lot…watching those games were far more enjoyable. We might go 70-92, but we knew that Geoff Jenkins, Jeromy Burnitz and Ritchie Sexon were going to deposit a lot of balls in the seats.

This team, there’s very little to cheer about. The Milwaukee Brewers in 2022 are baseball’s version of having our fingernails pulled out.

I hate feeling down about this team, but does anybody see a bright light at the end of the tunnel?

Who beside Adames Tellez and Hiura should be locks to return as position players?? You could make the case for Renfroe I guess but we got to go young and I would cash out on him now. Pretty sad state of affairs

No question about pinch hitting after the game no questions about letting Box die on the vine. No question about Cruz beating you by himself. Media is as bad as the team currently.

Burnes is great, but with these last few starts, I think he’s just thrown in the towel. I don’t think he cares anymore, and I can’t blame him. How many times in just the past month have one of our starters gone like 5 or 6 innings without giving up a single run, only to get a no decision because our pitiful offense can’t do anything.

Wiodruff has been our best pitcher since his return. But soon he’ll get fed up, too.

If our offense does’t stink, our manager passes away a win with inexplicable decisions.

That first 35 game, or so, stretch to start the season seems like so long ago.

I also agree with the sentiment that there’s no untouchable player on this roster. I don’t want to lose Burnes, Woodruff or Peralta, but a part of me wants to see those guys on a team that can support them. They deserve better.

They all just wanna be Craig's friend and it's so pathetic.

I have no idea.

Hiura is the guy I’m most excited about. I don’t know if that’s more because he had such potential, and feel so low, and seeing him hot again is a redemption of sorts….or, it’s because all the other options are terrible.

At this point, I’m just looking for something….anything to hang my hat on.

The 2022 Brewers are beginning to feel like season 8 of Game of Thrones.

The Milwaukee sports media are utterly feckless.

There is not a single thing this teams does well consistently. Really nothing you can hang your hat on most of the time.

If you're referring to this season, of course things need to change consistency-wise or it'll be a disappointing season. If you're talking long-term I see a lot of bright lights. I love the direction the organization is headed in regarding drafting, scouting & player development.

To each their own. But I enjoy following this team a lot more than the teams you referenced. Because they win more. Granted after seeing the comments from some posters on here I need to check the standings because I think "Gee, we must be 25 games under .500". But contrary to some of the stuff on here (not pointing at you), they can win. They have won. And they are in a playoff hunt. If they continue to falter & finish well out of the money, that doesn't change the fact that here, today, they're in a playoff hunt. I'll continue to hope they find a way to put something consistent together. Have they shown indications they will? Nope. But in baseball I've seen too many weird things happen to dismiss their chances like this is the NBA or something.

People rail on this player, or that decision, or the trade deadline. But this is probably the #1 issue over the last 3 months.

There is an argument that the Brewers were more fun to watch in the bad old days. I for one agree. There was nothing like watching and dreaming that Bill Hall was going to our Derek Jeter at shortstop. This team just is blah.

The Brewers were 32-18 on May 30th.

In the last three months, the Brewers have gone 36-42, and have been below .500 in that span losing a lot of games to some very bad teams.

.462 baseball the last three months….doesn’t really feel like a pennant race, to me.

I would've been shocked if Peterson was left in to hit vs a lefty. Urias came in & picked up a hit, then in the ninth had pretty much the same approach as Hiura, just didn't barrel it up so it didn't have the steam to get through. I wish I knew why he's been struggling this year. People bring up his leaning-back thing, but he did that last year & was much better. As for PHing for Mitchell I think that was more a case of not liking his chances vs a lefty than any great confidence in Taylor.

If we could double our payroll, we would be pretty good.  Ask Dave Roberts.  Ask Aaron Boone.

This is the underlying thing here more than any other thing, including questionable CC moves in-game, etc.

I have no issue with the Brewers not really being a World Series contender, BECAUSE MLB makes it too steep of a mountain to climb in our small market.

So, I root for the team, try to have fun -- enjoy the wins and defying the odds by consistently besting the big-market-Cubs in the standings -- anything beyond that is lightning in a bottle.  Our big stars will leave when they get too expensive.

(losing to the Pirates is getting unnerving, I admit, though since they are even lower payroll than we are -- we are 19th in team payroll; they are 28th)
