After yesterday's rainout, Low-A Carolina still trails Myrtle Beach 1-0 in this week's series on the road. 6'7" RHP Jacob Misiorowski makes his 2nd start in the Brewers' organization, having faced just 5 batters (32 pitches) in his first outing. 1B Jesus Chirinos has a 21-game on-base streak:

High-A Wisconsin is up 2-0 at home against Beloit and has RHP Alexander Cornielle on the mound for his 3rd start at this level. He's actually been something special over his last 10 Low-A/High-A games (1.95 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, 10.9 K/9 in 55 1/3 IP). 1B Ernesto Martinez comes in with an 11-game on-base streak:

AA Biloxi trails their series at home against Mississippi 2-0, but has solid 24-year old RHP Victor Castaneda (4.07 ERA, 1.34 WHIP, 9.5 K/9 in 101 2/3 IP) starting tonight. LF Corey Ray has hit safely in 7 of his last 8 games:

AAA Nashville has lost 2 games in a row in Charlotte and needs to turn it around as they strive to hold onto 1st place in their division. Starting RHP Josh Lindblom has had a good 4-game run (2.74 ERA over last 23 innings with 28 Ks). DH/OF Sal Frelick has a 25-game on-base streak:

I’m throwing out the RHP Victor Castaneda mojo. He’s going to show out and help the Shuckers turn the 26-4 run differential back in favor of the Shuckers?

Well Jacob managed to not give-up a hit and last an inning and 1/3 with 3Ks. He also walked 3 hit a batter and exited with the bases loaded.

Yuppers. A little bit like his first start, honestly. He has all that nasty stuff and, with it, he's going to have to learn how to harness it.

Get Nashville back on track? We simply need some good ol' savvy Josh Lindbolm. Man, he's been really really good for 3-4 straight starts. Awesome stuff.

It is seriously hard to fathom how absolutely fantastic Corneille, Cruz, and Rodriguez have been since being called up to Wisconsin. Cornielle just following suit, again, tonight.

I'm going to go back and watch that 7th inning. Hitting coach, Hobie, AND Sweetie? Yeeesh. Clearly they weren't happy. LOL Could have been some showing out? I'll report back when the game is done. I'm out n about right now.

Sounds leading 8-3 and Louisville just tied up Columbus 6-6 in the bottom of the 9th - men on 1st and 2nd with nobody down. Let's get this done!

This just in:

Sal Frelick (26) and Joey Wiemer (15) have each extended their On Base streaks. They have absolutely risen to the occasion in Nashville. Makes a grown man proud.

I'm glad Jacob is getting the chance to get his feet wet, and then get Fall Instructionals in. Staring up at a full season with his current level of control might be a challenge.

Sheeeesh, the Sounds have racked 17 hits tonight. It's now 10-4 with 2 down in the top of the 9th inning. A much needed flurry offensively.

SO, the bottom of the 7th inning for all those interested and with MiLB.TV capacity begins at 2:48:57 on the replay. I'm going in now.

All the aftermath happens after the three-run homer to left field bringing Charlotte within 5-3. Hobie throws a high inside heater, head level, about a foot from the batters face or so. Charlotte really doesn't like it. Throw happens at 2:58:10. They toss him out of the game at 2:59:10. That's how it goes down. LOL.  It's worth a watch. I haven't seen Rick Sweet this ticked off all year. Whew. That was something. Then they got into it trying to let Jake Cousins warm up more in their bullpen. Awesome electricity. LOL.
