2022 MLB Playoffs

Dodgers' offense is so fun to watch. Every time the Padres score, they have an answer. If anything holds them back this postseason, it will be their pitching.

Stop traffic. Josh Hader pitching in an inning that isn't the 9th.

Don't even need to look and see how he did. Only that the Hader has been terrible thread has not been bumped, he obviously did not give up a run.

Though, FTR, we threw him in the 8th last year vs the Braves and Freeman.

Yeah Hader׳’s back to his dominant self, though he nearly gave up HRs to Freeman and Smith. But yesterday was the first time he recorded a 4 out save since 2020 so it is noteworthy.

Hoping Seattle can come back from that tough loss in Game 1.  Definitely the team I'm rooting for. How can you not with the WI connections?  Scott Servais and Jarred Kelenic (who graduated 2 years after my son at Waukesha West).

Scott Servais is a huge Packers fan.

I think most reasonable Mariners fans would say that this year is mostly about accumulating postseason experience for a year or two down the road when they will have a better chance at taking out the juggernauts at the top of the AL. Game 1 was a classic example of a young, talented team coming in with a ton of momentum and not being able to hold the lead once the Astros regrouped.

I expect them to show resiliency today because they have all year, but the Astros are such a well-oiled machine that it's going to be a tall order to come back after giving away a game like that. They remind me of the 2008 Brewers, but at least if they get to game 4 they will be starting someone better than Suppan!

Like many Brewers fans felt after 2018? That experience has lead to a 1-6 record since then in the postseason.

Good point ... small market teams have to "go for it" during those seasons when their young studs are bringing in the victories ... too bad we gave up on our young stud in Josh Hader too early this season.

The future is now in such cases!

Fortunately for the Mariners they are not a small market team.

Thank you for posting without a rhyme.

Most of us would say, it's about time.

Servais intentionally walks Alvarez with a man on first. Bregman lines an rbi single on the very next pitch. there's no way of knowing what Alvarez would have done, but walking guys into scoring position is just dumb.

Pitch to Alvarez, get burned. Pitch around Alvarez, get burned.

I was going to get a watch, but I didn’t have the time.

Don’t remind me…. CC changed his entire handling of the bullpen based on his whims and gripes.

Grisham is mashing AND Hader is throwing harder than he ever did for us on a consistent basis now for the Padres ... well, good for them ...

We would be in the playoffs if we didn't trade Hader ... oh, well ...

All the underdogs win today ... Phillies over Braves, Indians (not the Guardians) over Yankees, and Padres over Dodgers ... good day for the MLB, in my opinion.
