Here's my first impression immediately after the game....

 

This defense is hot trash.

Small sample, but Love looks worlds better than he did last year.  Looks like it's finally starting to click for him.

Packer’s defense gave up 40 points and 500 yards tonight. That should get MLF to start throwing dirt on Barry beginning tomorrow morning.

Yes,  he seemed pretty comfortable, felt the pressure, made nice throws... time to DL Rodgers and let the kid play

MLF said that if Rodgers is healthy he'll be playing.

I'm convinced that Rodgers is the defacto HC for this team and MLF has no real control over something as basic as his starting QB.

Even by lofty Joe Barry-led defensive standards, allowing 363 yards rushing is a heck of an achievement. Stubbornly staying in base Nickel for near the entire game is also extremely impressive. We are currently picking 6-9 in the upcoming draft. I hope we keep him all aboard the coaching staff until season's end. 

Of course, the danger there is Matt LaFleur will most likely be hiring the next D Coordinator.

I think it's more a Christian Yelich sized contract problem not to mention tenure and multiple MVP's first-ballot HOF problem. And, hey, at this point does it really matter? J-Love looked fantastic which is awesome but at this stage of his career and health overall, A-Rod gives us our best shot at higher draft picks.

Just trying to find a silver lining to an embarrassing season by near every measure.

Watched the MLF press conference and there's clearly no changes on the horizon with Barry.

Same song and dance as every week -- we gotta be better, we all gotta be better ...etc. etc.

At some point Guty has to step in and say either Barry is gone or you and Barry are gone.

There's no real point in firing anyone right now. I wouldn't read into anything MLF says. Probably worst case scenario is that replace someone and get better and push themselves into picking 16th.

I wouldn't expect MLF to throw anyone on his team under the bus in the press conference.  If he did that to Barry and then fired him tomorrow...you'd have a difficult time finding anyone of substance to hire.  

I'll watch for his actions more than his words.  At least once this season he has pushed for alterations to the defensive approach.  Hard to tell what is going on in his head, but he is keeping it off his lips (as he should).
