Can Alexander be DFA'd while on extended IL?

We may need a 40-man spot for an extra LH pitcher on the 26-man roster to start the year.

Players on the 60-day IL don't count against the 40 man roster.

I believe technically 0 but functionally one or two because of other likely 60-day IL placements.

Yeah Wilson will and possibly Ashby could go on the 60-day IL if we need to clear a spot.
