Second 2B for Sal Frelick tonight. Alright, Sal, let's get it going young man! This one drives in Blake Perkins from second base. 3-1 Jumbo Shrimp here in the 8th. First double was a chopper down the LF foul line. This one was a well hit deep fly to left center. A great bounceback night for Frelick!

Abraham Toro just missed a rope shot homer by about 3' off the right field wall. What a laser. He took an 0-2 count to 2-2 and just ripped that ball. Whewwww he's heating up. 3-2 Jumbo Shrimp now with Toro at 2B and Singleton at 3B. One down. VanMeter at the dish.

And the rally ends at two runs for the Sounds. VanMeter worked a count 3-0. Then popped up to shallow SS on a 3-2 count. C Alex Jackson then sends a sky high fly ball to shallow CF. It's on to the bottom half of the 8th frame where I believe we'll see RHP Cam Robinson.

Trying to keep pace with his 2.25 WHIP, Robinson takes his nobody on and two down (groundout and swinging K) and concedes a laser shot single to RF off the bat of Encarnacion and then walks the next batter. Two on and two down. He'll look to prevent any further damage and try to give his teammates at a shot in the 9th.

NOT TONIGHT, says LF Keston Hiura who tracks a deep tailing fly ball to the the high wall in LF and calmly catches the ball while jogging into the wall before it leaves the yard. A fantastic grab in a really important situation. He just handled that fly ball with confidence and ease, honestly. I'm not used to it, Keston but that was wonderful.

Mr. Everywhere Eddie Alvarez just ripped (and I mean ripped) a lead-off triple high off the right field wall on a 1-2 count to lead off the Sounds 9th. Let's go, men! Let's steal one tonight!

Monasterio ground out to 3B. A Blake Perkins K looking on an outside breaking ball. The Sounds are now 1-16 with RISP. Woooof. Frelick is up to try and knock Alvarez home. Nope. A weak chopper to 2B. 1-for-17 with RISP. Yikes. YIKES. Sounds lose 3-2.

He can play multiple positions but he’s not very good anywhere. He had a pretty brutal throwing error on a routine grounder to 3B today. Still think he might end up at 1B eventually especially if his bat continues to progress.

That's how I've been viewing him... as a future 1B that can play other spots, if necessary (poor man's Cronenworth?). But of course, that puts a lot of pressure on the bat.

I'm a pretty big believer in his bat. I think he is going to end up being a 1B especially if the power he has shown to start this season is here to stay.
