Yes. Routine 1.80 Pop. Cannon of an arm (to all bases). But, what it isn't often seen in those clips, is how absurdly athletic he is horizontally. He's just spry, strong, and extremely gifted.

I knew I liked the guy … guess I was wrong even how much I liked him! Thanks for the info! Catching position looks good for a while for once. Don’t say that often.

Joey Wiemer will get a fair amount of consideration for rookie of the year...he won't win it, but he's going to be one of the guys discussed as the year goes on.

He has shown the ability to make adjustments at every level, and the defense/power hitting/baserunning  combo carries value no matter what his batting average sits at when he's working through slump stretches.  Great player to watch!

Everyone but the first place team in the NL East has a negative run differential.

Everyone but the last place team in the NL Central has a negative run differential. 🤣

He might be 2nd in the NL in fWAR tomorrow. Corbin Carroll is going to run away with the award. He looks like a legit superstar, but with Wiemer's defense and baserunning, even a league average bat might get him near 4 fWAR

The theorem assumes a manager treats every inning of every game the same way. When Craig pulls his starter he basically decides whether they are going to win or not. If they're losing he goes to the bullpen trash which can often lead to the score getting out of hand. If they're winning he'll go to the "good" guys who hopefully don't. There's no bringing in a top arm when you're losing to try to keep the game close. Which is probably the best decision since this offense is so historically bad that they aren't coming back against most pitchers.

I do think it's funny that people think the Brewers are the only team that doesn't use good bullpen pitchers when they're down a bunch of runs and that they're the only team that has the worst guy in the pen give up a bunch of runs in blowouts.  Everybody has outlier games.  Everybody has bad bullpen guys who pitch in blowouts.  The Brewers do have a great manager and they do have an outstanding closer both of which do lead to winning more close games than others but there still has been a lot of good luck involved.  That can't be overlooked.

Is it me or have we gone weeks without mentioning yelich.    Bad or good

its like you can’t sense his presence.  He’s the sidler from Seinfeld      No one knows he’s there

Which is weird because he's the best player on the team.
