Here’s my nominee for the “misuse of statistics” award for today.

Steven Watson “ Good news, the Brewers are 10-3 in one run games so maybe some hope for the Crew to come back”.

Tuesday’s game notwithstanding, the vast majority of those one run wins come from protecting or hanging on to leads, not coming from behind.

At least this game won’t tarnish that one run game stat.

I know they’re a perpetual pain in the ass. I just don’t think this is the same team and the black magic will end at some point.

Brewers just need to knock them out and so far they haven’t. The Cardinals and one of the few teams that if they are hanging around the race in July, they have the prospect capital to try for whatever rentals they want.

Stryzelecki had 607 ops against before today…….1.05 whip

had 14 holds and no blown saves before today.

I think he’s fine

He wasn't good today. Still..........a swinging bunt w/one out. Santander was really overdue & swinging the bat well all day, he finally got redemption. Then the lefty goes oppo on the first pitch. A bad day but IMO nothing to jump off a bridge over. An interesting thought would be, do they PH if Milner comes in to face Henderson?

The Bullpen has been good but worry about it Long term in this season

but really don't want them making trades for relievers either the last two seasons have been really bad

Then don't watch any baseball news on deadline day, you'll get depressed. Us trading for relievers ranks right up there with the sun setting in the west. I just don't like overpaying.

Maybe Singleton shouldn’t be an everyday player, CC?

A greatly overlooked part of the game today. after Contreras' leadoff double, Miller gets him to 3rd. Then Singleton doesn't touch the ball. Get that run in, and you're more likely tied than trailing after 8 & Williams pitches the 9th.

I actually give the offense somewhat of a mulligan from the 2nd inning to when Bradish left. His stuff & movement was outstanding once he settled in.

5 of the first 6 batters reached base then like 4 baserunners the last 25 outs. This offense really doesn't make any adjustments. The bullpen meltdown stinks, especially since Rea was cruising and only threw 84 pitches.
