After last night's late-inning loss, the Brewers face an uphill battle today. Bailey Ober is deceptively good, as his giant frame allows for a release point that belies his relative lack of velocity.

I'll be at Target Field today, properly dressed in a Twins hat and Brewers shirt just to confuse the hell out of everyone.

I leave tomorrow for a three-week trip to Europe. I will use it as a chance to get a break from this team. I'm usually very optimistic (hopeful?), but the team has bummed me out to the point that I won't be checking in very much. My optimism is spent. Maybe when I get back, Brandon Woodruff will be soft-tossing off flat ground with an expected return of September 29th, Sal Frelick will be recovering from his amputation, Garrett Mitchell will be eying a return in 2025, Jesse Winker will be able to turn his head slightly, and Luis Urias will have gotten his slugging percentage above .100.

Good luck, fellow fans, see you around the all-star break.

You left out the part where we're all mourning Willy Adames because he was decapitated by a broken bat from Elly De La Cruz.

Weirdly, the Brewers won't even be playing the Reds when it happens.

Just cut and paste this and you’ll be set most days.

Mourning? I guess…

On a happier note, the Giants jumped out to a 2-0 lead over the Cardinals in the first inning.

If the Giants complete that sweep today I wouldn't be surprised if the Cardinals tell Marmol not to bother getting on the flight to New York.

i feel like Cardinals will go on a hot streak if/when Marmol gets fired so the longer it takes for that to happen the better.

I think Yelich has always been pretty good at running down balls in the outfield, but his weak arm gets a lot of attention.

Not a great defensive inning for Anderson…….

Did he do something else in addition letting the ball hit off the wall to get past him?

Never mind. I forgot that I had paused the game briefly awhile ago and was a little behind.

Missed a catchable ball at the wall, should have called off Miller on the ball that dropped for a hit, lost one in the sun last night. Four misplays in two days.

Edit: And then to follow that up by hitting into a double play the very next inning. Nice work, Brian. I know you hit a homer earlier in the game.

Got to close to the wall turning double into a triple and allowing another run to score.

Could have potentially caught another ball that ended up going over his head

miscommunication with Miller allowing a ball to drop in shallow right that was definitely his play to make.

Other then that he was good…….
