However, in REALITY we only won one game on July 15, 2023. So says the standings, not that hard to understand. You do you.

However, the reality is it isn't just one game when talking about the top two teams, just basic math. If the records were flipped and the Brewers were 2-7 against the Reds, they would be 9 games back. The season would be over for the Brewers.

What a bizarre hill to die on. Especially after last season when that tiebreaker proved to be a huge difference in us missing the postseason.

Guess what, the tiebraker didn’t play any role in the Brewers missing the playoffs last year. You know why? Because THERE WASN’T A TIE between the Brewers and the Phillies. The Phillies record was 87-75 and the Brewers record was 86-76. The tiebreaker only works when there is an ACTUAL TIE. Otherwise, without a tie is has absolutely no meaning. You are dealing in speculation, if the Brewers one more game or if the Phillies lost one more game. What is hilarious is that you are dying on a hill, as you put it, on something that never happened. Please stick with the facts, rather than dealing with coming up with an argument that it was why they missed the playoffs. Sort of like, IF the Brewers never traded Hader they would have made the playoffs. You argue one way about the trade and do a 180 about the tiebraker.

Lol Okay. I don’t have the time for this.

I see your point , your not wrong . But if by chance at the end of the season and we have the same record as the reds , we go to the playoffs because we own the tie breaker. That's why it's important. Pretty simple .

having the tie breaker is better than not having it. I dont see why this is a bad thing and I don't see why someone would want to take a dump on a poster that points this out.

I wouldn't have time either if I lost an argument this badly.

What? You think they won the argument that the tie breaker doesn’t matter? Please. Everyone here and the manager realizes that it does and that clinching it this early is a good thing for our playoff prospects.

I don’t think that you have ever admitted that you were wrong about anything on this forum. The only other person I know that is like this once famously stated, “ I just want you to find 11,780 votes, which is one more than we have.” Very argumentative and needs to always have the last word.

This is an absolutely ridiculous post.

I literally said, “Lol okay. I don’t have the time for this.” Which gave you the last word on the subject as far as our conversation was concerned. I then responded to someone else,  not you.

Second of all, I’ve admitted I was wrong several times. Just the other week I admitted I was wrong about Winker and was now in favor of a DFA. Maybe you missed that…

What’s more, and you might be able to refresh my memory, I can’t recall a time when you yourself have admitted you were wrong. And rarely do you actually contribute something substantive. All you ever seem to want to do is try to get under my skin. Case in point, by taking a ridiculous position that having the tiebreaker over the Reds doesn’t matter. You’ve seen people other than me point out how you’re wrong on the matter.

Finally, enough with the personalized political garbage. Debate me about baseball, Thats fine and well within the purview of a baseball site. But don’t make personal attacks or make things political by invoking Trump. There’s no place for that here.

I never argued that tiebreakers don’t matter. I was pointing out that you were incorrect in your statement, “Especially last season when that tiebreaker proved to be a huge difference in us missing the postseason.” When the tiebreaker played absolutely role in the Brewers missing the playoffs when the Brewers and Phillies were not tied with the same record.

Everyone - time to move on.
