I'll give the crew hitters some credit, this 165-pound pitcher has some serious command and stuff. Just need patient AB's to rack up the pitches and get to the pen

DFA for winker is just the start.  Give these guys some steroids and stimulants.

Replacements.

Well, he wasn't available to any team as a minor league rule V guy for no reason.

Have to be the worst 1st base and DH production in MLB.

And second base.  And right field.

My guess Winker doesn’t make it to Monday in a Brewers uniform.

If he hasn't been DFAed by now he isn't going anywhere this year.

That being said, where does his acquisition rank among the worst in franchise history?

Who gets to tell Mark Attanasio that management tossed several million dollars of his cash into the Milwaukee River?

True but most lineups have 1st and DH as primary run producers.

Houser's last four outs have been a strikeout of Ronald Acuna, Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson, and Sean Murphy.

I wonder how many other pitchers have struck out those four guys in a row.

He isn't as bad as folks make him out to be.  As a four (assuming Woody and Miley come back), you could do worse, and many do.

The Brewers are what they are. A very limited team that relies on winning low-scoring, close games.

The Reds are what they are. An explosive offense with very little pitching depth.

Either one of those teams will scare people in a postseason series, but they're going to have very bad stretches over 162.

To me Wong and Winker are pretty much a wash in that trade but at least we have Toro. There have been far worse trades.

I'd say Frelick should be the hitting coach for this team, but I said the same thing about Turang and Weimer back in April.

An effective hitting coach is a very good idea.
