Collins strikes out swinging at a 96 mph heater just up and out of the zone. Gutsy pitch. Two down now. Pinch hitter, Wes Clarke, is to the plate to try and knock Black home.

Bases are loaded now - Clarke takes the walk. INF Freddy Zamora is up to the dish for a meaningful shot at redemption after his earlier error led to two runs. Come on Freddy, find your resolve!

He does it! YES, Fredddddddy! That's what you need. Absolutely fought off an inside rising heater for a base hit bloop liner into shallow CF just over the head of the same man who hit the grounder his way leading to the error. Glorious. The baseball gods shone down on Biloxi tonight! That's the Shuckers fifth walk-off of 2023, I believe. 5-4 SHuckers win. Organizational SWEEEEEEP.

Chourio has two walks in all of July until his last two games, where he's taken three free passes

It's his final obstacle regarding swing decisions, and seems to be some sort of memo/focus for him. This could be HUGE

His BB% really is the ONLY area that he could improve. This could be where moving to AAA with more pitchers with MLB experience, but maybe not as good of pure stuff could benefit him.

With his bat speed, ridiculous power, if he can be just a bit more selective up there, hunt the pitch he's looking for and get that BB% up to ~10 or higher while keeping the K% in the 20-25%...he already has Acuna Jr type upside, but Acuna Jr has a RIDICULOUS 11% BB rate and a 12%K rate this year.

I'm not expecting that...and I don't think anyone was expecting THAT from Acuna Jr, but just moving in that direction and his ceiling is higher than probably any Brewers prospect we've ever had.

On a side note, if Acuna Jr hadn't signed an extension, he'd be set to hit FA the same year as Burnes. As it stands, he has 5 more years of team control.

Good lord that's nuts, for the contract he got

Chourio has massively improved his contact skills, there was a lot of swing and miss on the outer part of the plate coming into the year and he seems to have taken a real step forward.

It's just not swinging at bad pitches now, I think his contact out of zone is pretty good still but it's causing cheap outs

Chourio having the Quero leap in plate discipline and swing decisions would be huge.

Quero in April and May - 7 BB to 29 SO

Quero in June and July - 24 BB to 18 SO
