What does it mean? Justin Jarvis has had a nice season between AA and AAA and is in the category of "nearly MLB ready" starting pitcher. So, is it possible that the Brewers are including him in a deal we will hear about soon, or in the coming days? Maybe he's sick, but at this time of the year (and with so many trades happening already), stuff like this gets noticed...

I sincerely hope we didn't trade him for another piece of trash RP, seems to be out MO recently.

Matt Bush wasn’t trash, he was an addict.

After dealing Reese Olson & Antoine Kelley for BP help & neither trade working out at all, I doubt Jarvis would be dealt for the same type of asset. If that's why he was scratched it would have to be for a bat, & one they must like quite a bit because Jarvis is a prospect starter in one of the top two levels of the system, and there ain't much depth there right now.

Would he be scratched to get called up after the Wilson injury? He doesn't seem but a #4/5 SP ceiling looking off his pitching profile and results.

Megill replaced Wilson.

I think you're correct in that he profiles as a back-of-the-rotation guy. But there isn't a plethora of even those types in Nashville or Biloxi.

Jarvis has struggled quite significantly since his promotion to Triple-A. I certainly wouldn't consider him 'nearly ready'. The majority of his stellar work this season came in the Southern League with a tacked ball. It's hard to tell what's next for him but  3 GS, 11 2/3 IP, 17 H, 14 ER, 2 HR, 12 BB, 11 K as a Sounds starter is not what I'd remotely consider ready for a random call to the MLB level. If anything, he may be ready for a re-assignment to Biloxi to test an untacked ball in a League he is more comfortable in.

Chatted with Jarvis this morning... He's fine, just a skipped start, as they normally do to help guys pitch through the full season. Nothito see here. At least not at this time.
