Unless or until MLB switches to 'bots, calls that close are gonna get missed. It is what it is. Whatever the definition of a strike "is" doesn't matter. Even good umps (if they exist) are gonna make mistakes, and that was as close a pitch as there can be.

Rea didn't even really spit the bit because the pitch to Olson was on the inside corner. Olson and the Braves are just that good and benefited from the opportunity given to them by the ump that they shouldn't have had. LOLOLOL

Lots of calls go one way or the other.  Rea spit the bit, LOL.

Would love to know how most big league teams handle oversight of hitting from the top down.

For instance does Sietzer are only work with the big league club or does he oversee the development of the guys in the minors as well. Obviously he can't be there for a day-to-day instruction but does he dictate how things are done all the way down to the rookie ball level?

Because being passive aggressive is a weak trait and adding that cute little "LOL" at the end is nothing but that.  Doubling down by calling someone "triggerd" because they called you out on it is even more pathetic and even more weak.

Their comment made me laugh. That's all lol means. You can either take it or leave it. You're obviously leaving it, but I don't give a crap.

One encouraging thing ... none of our top starters pitched in this series ... no Burnes, Woodruff, Peralta, or Miley ... hopefully, in a playoff series with those guys going, we are more competitive.

And maybe Matt Arnold swallows some pride and brings up Hiura by then ... the guy who hit over .300 with about 20 homers in his rookie season not long ago!  I don't see any of our "freshmen" coming close to those numbers!

I don't think Rea is doing a bad job here.  At least with him we aren't down by a half dozen before the 3rd inning...   lol

I think it's about what I would expect from Rea against this lineup.

I think the braves are getting tired from running around the bases for 3 days.

Hmm... So the next thing we'll see is a called third strike followed by gunfire and "your terminated"

Turang with some good at-bats today. Just do that and get on base is all I ask.

Yup, along with his superior defense.
