Looking like second place heading into tomorrow.

Well 💩.

Did I say 💩  I meant 💩 💩 💩 !!!!!

BUT... we were playing a team that hits like crazy and that has real chance of winning The Whole Deal.  And we actually scored a fair bunch of runs (tho' not enough, alas).

Getting swept by these guys is bad but not as bad as getting swept at home by the dismal Athletics awhile back.  I'll delay slashing the wrists for now, but we really do need to kick some serious booty next series.

I realize that. But, "Look, lady..." is bad taste.

So is budding into other peoples business that doesn't involve you.  Nice try, LOL

You are acting like a child. Just don't call people names. It's not allowed, period.

You do if she is!

Of course.  My mother, my wife.  True ladies both and I have no qualms calling either one a lady.

Yeah, we'll be in second place tomorrow morning. Reds still need to finish a full game ahead of us though and we have one more game left than them.

Also. Now, that we're done with the Braves, the Brewers officially have the second easiest remaining schedule in baseball from here on out....

I hope so, as long as we don't play the A's again. <irony alert>

The braves have been kicking some major butt since the lame political stunt over the all star game a few years ago.     Doesn’t Milwaukee have the democratic or republican national convention.   Maybe they can pull some lame boycott and we can become the greatest team ever in two years

I will stick to my guns and say that no team that gets swept at home to a team as bad as Oakland will make the playoffs

To think this team was 3-7 and struggling at the plate before just putting up 29 runs these 3 games. With 11 HRs.

That's 2 weeks of normal production for the crew.

Ah, this Brewers team was meant to break the mold.

Kind of a make or break stretch for me.  Obviously a lot of that has to do with what the Cubs and Reds do but if they can't go on a run here my expectations will take a further hit.

An easy schedule has not necessarily correlated with success for this team.

When you can’t score you let teams hang around

Or when you’re a pitching and defense team and you don’t pitch well (25 runs, 10 homers in 3 games) you don’t win.

Here are some crazy numbers.

On June 2 the Brewers played the first of their 13 games against  the Reds. At the time the Brewers were in first place, a half game ahead of the Pirates, who hadn’t started their big slide, and 3 games ahead of the Reds.

Since that date, and assuming the Reds hold on to their big lead today, the Reds have gone 32-19 and gained 3.5 games on the Brewers, who are 28-22.
In other words, despite losing 7 games to the Brewers in the head to head games, the Reds have gained 10.5 in all other games.

Also, in the Reds 37 games (not counting today) not against the Brewers, they have averaged 5.9 runs per game. In the 13 against the Brewers they averaged 2.7. runs.

I don’t know what this means going forward now that the Reds and Brewers are done with their second series. But, if I were a Reds fan I’d  be feeling pretty good about a team that is winning series against teams like the Dodgers (twice), Astros (sweep on road), Orioles, and DBacks (sweep at home) now that they are done with the one team that had had their number over the last two months. They even slugged it out with the Braves, losing 2 out of 3 games that were all decided by one run.

Note: If I raise something as a POSSIBILITY that does not mean that I EXPECT it to happen.

Listen, if you can't get along, don't talk to each other. We will review what happened in this thread and contact people privately about it.

Next person who continues the nonsense gets a vacation.

What kind of vacation are we talking here and is it funded by Fanatic? I hear the Iberian Peninsula is nice around this time of year

Reds have had some insane pitching luck. Like they face the Dodgers this weekend and got to face 3 rookies. Over the last 40 games they have pretty much just faced the bottom of team's rotations outside of facing us and the Giants

Edit: This isn't to say the reds offense isn't good because they are. They have just had quite a stretch of fortunate pitching matchups.
