I don't think rice was as open as they were claiming.  The defender in front didn't leave his spot till the ball was coming out.  If he throws it to rice it might be picked.

It's such a risk.  Imagine something happening and you just don't even get the chance to kick the fg.  I mean, a poor snap just happened, 1 more could cost them the game.

Agreed. Look at the previous snap. Was botched and very low. Something like that happens and it gets past Mahomes and time expires before someone even gets to the ball.

Can you imagine having Anders in a FG battle game like this? Yikes.

I've thought that as each successive huge moment kick split the uprights. NOW, this being said, Moody's blocked XP felt like a cozy Green Bay blanket to stoke those flames of empathy.

Wow, sf went from life support to awake.

I feel like they've given Maholmes too many shots and are about to pay for it.

Yeah, what I predicted last drive will happen here.

Do you run it or keep it in mahomes hands?

Unpopular opinion, but its fun when they show the Taylor swift reaction shots.  Just seeing her raw emotions is kinda cool.

Yawn, one team has the best QB in football by a mile and the other has an elite game manager QB.

49ers should have just grown a pair one of the many chances they had to win the game. They deserved to lose.

It is like the Tom Brady dynasty with a fraction of the competition.

I mean... they did go for it on 4th down from like the 12 yard line down 3 in the 4th quarter. That's basically the only reason they got to OT

Tip your hat to the Chiefs. Like Brady and the Pats, they just let their opponents mistake themselves and miss opportunity themselves to these losses. It's uncanny. San Fran had every right to win that game. BUT, they simply couldn't do it. Shanny stern face mopey Emo loss look is still a HOF worthy meme.

Then again they probably don’t need to even risk one of those 4th downs if they had learned anything all game on those shorter 3rd downs.

Chiefs kept bringing the house and the 49ers never adjusted. Kept having guys run routes that weren’t half completed before Purdy was getting nearly sacked.

Mahomes will be mvp, but it should probably be butter imo.

Jordan Love will be to Mahomes what Eli was to Brady.

Didn't get a chance to post it and I understand it's insane, but if I were SF I would have gone for it on the last 4th down. I just don't give the ball to Maholmes.

I'm pretty sure even if they score a td in ot, mahomes still gets the ball.
