Also, I really dislike the manager Joe Ayrault C Darrien Miller lead-off gadget. He did it in High-A Wisconsin too. Not a fan of that desperation whatsoever. Then we drop Carlos D. Rodriguez into clean-up? I know the line-up as a whole is struggling but none of that makes sense. It just doesn't.

If Misiorowski can keep this up over the next few starts or so, you gotta feel like he becomes a real option for the big league club. You don't need to see whether his stuff plays at the AAA level, and he's only got so many innings in the tank this year.

I would love to move Misi quickly but I worry about his arm. I think at least a couple in AA and like 5 in AAA then if he looks go piggies back him. I would think we don't want him to go much more than 100-120 innings. Misi might be a big help but I worry if we try and make him the solution he will get hurt and not be the same.

Gasser is close and then Junis a bit after that (in long relief). If we can limp to the all star break we can probably find a trade.

I think that's a bad idea...at least until we get to Sept. Let the kid develop into an ace. He's not there yet. He dominates...and then he loses his command badly.
(Edit-His command gets really bad, that's what I'm trying to say).

If we want him to be a reliever or long man, sure, but I'd rather let him spend the summer, or at least most of it in AA and then if he develops, AAA and BP when rosters expand.

This is a kid who has the potential to not just be an ace, but be one of the true 4-5 top-tier aces....but he's just wild yet and he still needs to develop his repertoire and work on just building arm strength, repeating his delivery, that change and curve to a lesser degree. I'd rather bring up Gasser and look to the trade market.

I think if anything you'd do it in a piggy back type role and feature him out of the pen some.

With Mis, it's always been a question of control, not stuff. As soon as he does start showing control and the returns the past couple starts have been good, I see no problem with pushing him straight to the majors. He's only going to throw a certain amount of innings this year anyways, and it's not like the injury risk is any greater in the majors than in the minors.

Obviously still a bit early but I think there's a possibility he could be ready sooner than we think.

I think there is though.

1-You get a kid like him and I think he starts overthrowing once he reaches the big leagues. As incredible as he looked at the futures game, that was not sustainable.

2-I think he becomes a FB/SL pitcher who's less likely to work on the Change and the CB if he gets called up. He throws a Change in AA and it gets hit, who cares. He throws one in Milwaukee and it gets hit, he's less likely to go back to it.

3-It's easier to control his innings.

I guess it's possible, but I don't think it's that good of an idea at this point. I hope he forces the issue this year. He's special enough that he could end up contributing...I just would rather exhaust other options first.

That said, he's a guy I'd pay to see if he were to make his debut and it wouldn't be the worst thing in the world if he came up to make a spot start.

I still like Gasser, Ashby, Myers has looked really good. And there will be pitchers on the market. It really hurts that we couldn't/didn't make a push for Snell or Montgomey. I would guess much of that was uncertainty about this team, but adding another really good pitcher to slot in as that #1/2 could have been a boost. Snell has struggled, but I like him still as well.

We can also hope the Fish keep struggling. I would love to put together a package for Cabrera. Black, someone like Brown Jr. The Marlins have a lot of young pitching and value hitters like Black(or so it seems).

I have little doubt he could step in and be a dominant pitcher in Milwaukee and Boeve's absurd start and Black defensive limitations make trading him a bit more appealing.

AAA pitcher Max Meyer would be another option I'd look at. Probably not straight up for Black, but I've warmed to the idea of dealing Black for a SPer and the Marlins seem like a team that may be wiling to make such a trade.
