Drew Smyly with three perfect rehab innings against the TRats.

Mark Manredi was cruising through two before running into trouble and surrendering three runs in the third.

With Smyly lifted Jadher Areinamo and Gregory Barrios have notched back to back one out singles here top of four, but a Luke Adams 6-4-3 ends things just like that.

Eduarqui Fernandez double, Dylan O’Rae single and Jadher Areinamo sac fly finally got the TRats on the board top of six.

Unfortunately Manfredi ran into some tough luck bottom of four when he compounded Tayden Hall and Luke Adams errors with a three run bomb.

Patricio Aquino has followed up by working around a pair of hits and a walk to post two scoreless so far.

Manuel Rodriguez with a decent start at 5 IP | 2 ER | 5 H | 0 BB | 3 K. See if he comes out for the 6th with a pretty efficient 66 pitches.

And a Daniel Guilarte single/steal followed by a Yophery Rodriguez bomb has just evened the score at two apiece bottom of five.

Nashville scored one bottom first via Tyler Black HBP/steal and Isaac Collins single, then scored another bottom two on a Brewer Hicklen bomb.

Oliver Dunn has started bottom three with a single trying to break the 2-2 tie.

TRats get not much. Lose 7-1.

Carolina falls behind. Roughest outing on the young season for the very young pitcher. M. Rodriguez.  Carolina get runners on in the ninth with Guilarte and Yophery up. Strikeout, fly out. Game set match.

Nashville up big.
Biloxi struggling and pitchers get hit. Tough outing for R. Smith.

Let’s see if Biloxi can ever get out of the offensive funk.  Several good hitters in the line up they should not struggle this much. Ugh.

Nashville hold on to win big. Dunn, Collin’s, Hicklen and Haase with multiple hits. Uribe pitches the ninth. Per the box score 2 BB, 1 hit and a run scored.

Billoxi are having the blues.  Only a meager 5 H.  Boeve 1H and 2 BB, Cargo 0H and 2BB.

ACL behind again (what else is new?)

DiTuri 2Bb, Bitonti not a stellar night so far. 2 AB, 2 K :(

I’m guessing Manager Rafael Neda is dealing with a thin bench in Arizona. INF Tyler Rodriguez and C Yannic Walthier haven’t played since May 10 and 13, respectively. OF Pedro Ibarguen left his last game (May 18) after the 1st inning.

So that may mean that only 10 position players are available at the moment. Time will tell.

They’re in today’s game (down 4-3 in 6th inning), through the ACL White Sox are 1-for-14 with RISP.

Just getting down to check what happened in the system after about a 14.5 hour Dad and Farmer day. Drove an hour four times. Took a kid to swimming. No animals died (yet). Ready to watch some innings before I pass out and do it again tomorrow.

Man, this Carolina skid is making me all sorts of sad face. Gotta grind and get back in the win column! RHP Jesus Rivero still trying to find his form from early season - 2 1/3 IP and 3 more BB's. Ugh. On the flip side another scoreless bounce back outing from RHP Aidan Maldonado.

With Dunn and Clarke everyday guys in this current Sounds lineup (granted, we're playing Charlotte here) the Sounds suddenly have a little bit of firepower and savvy in that 1-through-5 in the lineup. Much more enjoyable watch for this ol' codger.

Hats off to LHP Justin King for his second consecutive scoreless relief outing. There are pluses in that Biloxi box score we just have to squint and find them. At this stage of their disappointing season, I'm looking for bread crumbs. It's hard to fathom a worse start for INF Ethan Murray. This is bringing deep shades of his offensive struggles at High-A Wisconsin back in 2022. Last season gave me great hopes he had set a new baseline offensively. It's hard to see this as anything other than a significant regression. A darn shame.

Clutch hits from 3B Eric Bitonti and DH Eric Martinez, combined with 4 scoreless innings from LHP Anthony Flores gave ACL Brewers a 7-4 win over ACL White Sox.

SS Filippo Di Turi reached base 5 times (single, 4 walks) and C Edgardo Ordonez homered for the 2nd straight game.

Is pitching in the ACL just always this rough before the draft, it seems like there are just a crazy amount of walks in those games.
