Greinke did it when he was ejected (I believe) in the first inning of a game. It was a weird situation with the ejection and then the Brewers' schedule at the time but I believe he was the first pitcher to start back to back games in quite a while.

Someone can correct me if I am wrong.

I think it was burnes who started the last game before and first game after the all star break as well recently.

I glad that the brewers have unveiled a new strategy by playing players who can hit vs players who can’t

I like the lefty opener vs. lefty strong teams for Rea, Wilson, and Myers. Koenig could be perfect for that role, if they hide a guy or two lower in the order.

Good job Pat.

Honestly I wouldn't mind having an opener for all or some of Rea, Wilson, Myers, Gasser every start. Feel like using an opener for guys like Rea and Wilson could help them to go 6 innings more frequently because it seems like the consistently run into issues against the top of the order a 3rd time. Letting them start their games facing the 5th hitter in the order gives them an extra inning before they face the top of the order a 3rd time.

I just caught up - I was watching the game on delay … Impressive performance this far

Because I have been critical of Murphy on a regular basis, I must pay him respect for the overturned fan interference call early in the game … that was good managing & I love that he stayed with it until the umpires were overruled to get the call right

What have you done with our friend Ed Funderburk?
