So with us clearly needing more starting pitching, one name I'm wondering about is Christian Scott.

He was pitching pretty well with the Mets in his handful of starts this season, is a talented young starter, but recently got demoted to AAA, only because they already have a full starting rotation as it is.

Is there a match to be made here? Do they have a need for any of our surplus of young OFs?

Literally zero. You could offer Chourio, Misiorowski, Anorld's first born, but there is literally not a scenario in the world in which they would trade...

I mean obviously they would accept Chourio for Scott, but I figured people would use common sense and understand my comment as nothing the Brewers would realistically offer. I'll make sure to simplify my comments so all people can understand because it was clearly too complex for some. Scott is a fringe Top 50 SP prospect in baseball who has had good success in his brief MLB stint. The Mets aren't going to trade him unless they are getting a controllable MLB proven talent in return and even then they might not consider it. Cost controlled starting pitching is what everyone in the league craves. Yes the Mets rotation is pretty full this year but Severino and Quintana are both FA after the season and Manaea could potentially opt out of his player option depending on how he finishes the season meaning the rotation clears up for next season.

Wait...what are you disagreeing with @wiguy94

I was agreeing with you! There's not a "single chance," literally zero that the Mets would trade him. I was just reiterating that...sound logic! It's literally impossible😁

Oh...so it was a nuanced take? You don't beleive the offers the Brewers would make would be satisfactory to the Mets?

See...I just thought you were saying;

Literally zero chance the Mets are trading him like not a single chance.

Not effectively, "it'd take a lot." But I guess that's pretty much the same as "zero chance....like not a single chance." My bad!
