Not often you see the DSL Cerveceros #1 losing a 1-0 9-inning tilt. That is indeed what happened today.

Looks like Jesus Made still managed a single, two walks and two stolen bags (and an error) in the losing effort.

Carlos Carra (3.1 IP | 1 H | 3 BB | 1 HBP | 3 K) and Ayendy Bravo (4.0 IP | 2 H | 0 BB | 3 K) each registered multi inning scoreless appearances.

DSL Dos fared a little better with a 6 to 3 win over the Calcetines Rojos in seven innings.

Jorge Quintana (2 for 4), Jonathan Rangel (1 for 4, double, stolen base), Frederi Montero (1 for 3, double, walk, stolen base), and Luis Corobo (2 for 3, walk, stolen base, caught stealing) had the big days at the dish while 17yo RHP Lonell Down picked up the win throwing the last three frames with 1 ER | 2 H | 1 BB | 1 HBP | 3 K.

CF Jose Anderson hasn't hit a long ball since July 15th. I'm thinking of calling the Brewers Dominican Academy to see if anything is amok.

The Low-A Mudcats play at Red Sox affiliate Salem (Virginia) this week, with 18-year old RHP Manuel Rodriguez (3.24 ERA, 0.97 WHIP, 77.2 K/9) making his first appearance in 2 weeks. No, I don’t believe some of the positions listed on the lineup card.

AA Biloxi plays at Marlins’ affiliate Pensacola this week, with stud 22-year old RHP Jacob Misiorowski (3.10 ERA, 1.22 WHIP, 12.1 K/9 in 72.2 IP) kicking things off in the series opener. LF Adam Hall has a 19-game on-base streak.

The AAA Sounds host White Sox affiliate Charlotte this week, with RHP Taylor Clarke (5.18 ERA, 1.38 WHIP, 7.4 K/9 in 40 IP) starting tonight. 2B Isaac Collins has an 18-game on-base streak.

O'Rae K's looking on three pitches. Cargo grounds out weakly to the pitcher. Wilken strikes out on a foul tip.

In Salem, Yophery led off with a line drive single to right CF. Di Turi grounded out weakly up the 1B line advancing Yophery. Pratt just lined a single into left CF. Runners on the corners. One down.

They play at Marlins’ affiliate Beloit this week, with 22-year old RHP Alexander Cornielle (2.78 ERA, 1.06 WHIP, 7.8 K/9 in 68 IP) starting the first game of the series.

Miz just airmailed a heater to the backstop. Been awhile. AND, that definitely happens. 😂 Down 3-1 in the count, as a result, Miz had to rip two heaters dead center. He gives up an oppo line drive single to RF. One down. 0-0 game. Bottom of 1.

Guilarte starts his post-All Star break appearances with a K looking on a dead center cut slider on a 1-2 count. Didn't even lift the bat. On to the 2nd. 1-0 Muddies. Pratt stranded at 2B.

Miz grabs a K swinging on a heater on the upper corner of the zone. Two down. Man still on 1B.

Joseph when was the last time you had your eyes checked? That was clearly at the bottom of the zone maybe even below the zone not at the top upper corner.

Yophery just chased down a very deep fly line drive to the wall in left CF and made the catch as he crashed into the hard wall. Wasn't a hard crash. None the less, that's plywood out there. He definitely hit it and crashed to the dirt. Slow to get up but he appears just fine. Nice catch.

LOL. On the Pensacola feed (watching the Mudcats side by side) from a dugout angle? Looked high corner. If it wasn't? It was still a swinging K. 😂 Maybe I'm just preparing to call games from the announcers booth? If I had a nickel...

Miz gets a high corner of the zone K (indeed!) to lefty swinging Jacob Berry for his 2nd K.

Not sure he could walk up and place it in the glove any better. That was right where Miller wanted it.

Whew, some zesty work by Miz here in the second. He gets another swinging K to a lefty - this one on a gorgeous breaking pitch on the inner black dipping just below the knees.

Miz walks a batter on a slider outside the zone (good pitch - almost got the chase on the check swing). He sails the first pitch heater to the backstop. His second such pitch. Man on 2nd now with two down. No matter, he gets the harmless chopper to O'Rae at 2B.

Meanwhile, in Salem, the Muddies have runners on 1st and 2nd with one down (Walling K looking on a dead center heater in a 2-2 count). 1-1 game.

I'll be honest, unless they were crossed up, I think both the balls that went to the backstop should have been caught.
