Not a great day to be a top 10 undefeated team from the SEC.  Can't wait to see espn rationalize this as being a reason the entire conference should be in the top 25.

Remember what Yoda said:

"Cubs lead to Cardinals. Cardinals lead to dislike. Dislike leads to hate. Hate leads to constipation."

Things aren't great in Madison, but they could be a helluva lot worse.

1-6 now. What a titanic collapse from last year. Makes you wonder what's going on behind the scenes.

Both Army & Navy are ranked in the top 25 this week & I'm pretty sure they were last week as well. The last time they were both ranked was 1960. I think that's pretty cool.

Notre Dame opens -17 vs. Navy.   It moves to -13.  That would be a big upset if Navy wins.

If the Middies had 1 or 2 losses I could see ND overlook them a bit & be in for a dogfight. But with Navy being unbeaten they have their attention. Still an interesting matchup though.

Yeah, I saw that and pointed it out to my wife.  I struggled to even remember when one of them was top 25, let alone both (which now I know is impossible for me to remember).

I would've remembered if at the time I wasn't so obsessed with Popeye cartoons & studying for my kindergarten entrance exams.

Even though their schedules are mostly modest, it's still good to see success coming from programs that aren't filled with mercenaries looking to cash a check while they 'play school.'

I suppose the Army/Navy recruiting targets are much less impacted by the NIL money that is impacting all the rest of the schools.  These guys are out there to be in the military and... oh, lets play football too.

That actually raises an interesting point. With different variations of the recruiting pitches made by the armed forces, you'd think there would be some NIL opportunities. I mean actual opportunities to be a part of the ads & be compensated for that, not the current garbage where NIL is just used as an excuse to cut someone a check after they commit.

Of course as you alluded to, these guys have vastly different priorities than NIL opportunities. Otherwise, as long as their talent allowed it they'd be at a P-5-type school.

Man, what a cluster eff going on at ASU. The game is delayed for a good 20 minutes because fans prematurely storm the field because they beat BYU? And now do it again when the game is official.

Congratulations on beating BYU, I guess.

First off I would like to say frack Alabama but that said... Holy hell for the side judge that threw that penalty flag 5 seconds after the fourth town play started to incorrectly say the receiver was covered up probably does need to be investigated for gambling.

What has happened to Utah this year? Just lost their 7th in a row.

Kyle Whittingham is one of the best coaches in the land.

They're on their 4th string QB I believe, maybe 5th string.  Rising, Huard, and Wilson are injured.

I'm not sure what the college rules are for targeting or spearing on running plays into the line but the Georgia safety just flat out speared the quarterback in the head that caused the fumble

It almost looked like one of the security guards sprayed pepper spray.  Multiple players and coaches went to water jugs to wash their face and looked like they couldn’t breathe.

Was really stupid to take the flag after the first scrum was broke up and try to parade it through the OSU players again as they went towards the locker room.  Could very well see some suspensions after that which would affect OSU way more than MI.

How do we fire Fickell and hire Day when he gets dumped?

You mean, how do they afford to pay a new coach worth a darn if they're paying Fickell the $6.47m or whatever the sam hill it is AAV buyout for the next 5 years?  I have no idea.

Was confirmed on ESPN now that players and coaches got pepper sprayed.  Seems like a pretty big overreaction for an officer to break up a fight on a football field with pepper spray.

Depends on whether or not said players put their hands on the officers and/or accidentally struck them when swinging at someone from the other team.

Why would we want Day?

He brings a couple of QBs and some OL, WRs, and TEs with him?

Even without Day, if they portal over Devin Brown/Lincoln Kienholz or they are stuck behind Sayin and Noland they might be looking for a new home, and both had interest in UW.  Carson Hinzman also got benched late last year and is only playing now because of injuries to McLaughlin and moving one of their guards out to OT due to injury there.

Setting aside the fact that Day is an A1 jerk, coaches really don't matter, it's the program. OSU will always be a championship contender and Wisconsin will always be a second tier program at best, no matter which coaches they bring in.
