Oh wow I just noticed DSL Brewers 1 have a double header today against the pesky division leading DSL Orioles Orange. Getting a sweep here would be massive.

Yup. I've been eyeing this Saturday for a few weeks. LOL. This is as big as it gets for their season.

DSL Brewers 2 transfer Johan Zapata with an extremely rough outing in the middle innings of this 7 inning game. 2.1 IP, 3 H, 5 ER, 2 BB, 2 SO, 2 HBP...DSL Brewers 1 are imploding here in the bottom of the 5th. Entered the half inning up 5-3 and it's now 5-9 with 0 outs.

AND, they're going to have to come back in Game 1. The pitching staff just gave up a 4-spot to lose the lead. They trail 7-5 right now in the...scratch that. This inning is a disaster. 9-5 - two consecutive WP's from RHP Jhosep Ospino. He follows with a walk. Nobody out. Two throwing errors in the inning as well. Ugh. Tough sledding in the bottom of the 5th.

6 BB and 4 HBP from the Brewers pitching staff in the first 5 innings...just can't have that.

Meanwhile, the DSL Crew #2 lead 4-2 in the bottom of the 7th and a OF Frandy Lafond 3-run jack has done the majority of the damage (his third of his season).

You have to absolutely love the DSL Cerveceros Dos (24-21) performance this morning. They see a handful of their most consistent performers leave for the DSL Cerveceros Uno clubhouse. They do not blink. 7-3 lead in the final frame vs the DSL Royals Ventura (26-20). Heck of a performance. Noted.

Devastating 0-2 day for DSL Brewers 1. Could have ended the day with 0.5 game lead. Instead end the day 3.5 games back which might be a dagger in the race for the division.

7 of the first 8 Nationals’ batters reached against Josh Timmerman and Jesus Flores in the 4th inning: 1 outfield hit, 1 infield hit, 4 walks, 1 HBP. That gave Fredericksburg a 4-1 lead over Carolina in their first game of the day, which ended up as the final score.

Arter being no-hit on Friday, the Mudcats managed 3 hits in 7 innings in this one. 1B Reece Walling was the bright spot: 2-for-2, double, walk, RBI.

Walling walked and C David Garcia singled with 1 out in the final inning, but Miguel Briceno K’d and Yophery Rodriguez grounded out to end it.

I don’t really know who Alexander Cornielle and @CheeseheadInQC offended, as Cornielle is forced to throw 90+ pitches despite conceding his 2nd homer, trailing 6-0 amidst a very rough 3-game stretch for him.

There have been some real offensive duds in the farm system this week. Bitonti and the Mudcats used up all the system's offense with those 24 runs combined on Tuesday and Wednesday
