Maybe it's time to move Myers to the pen and promote either Hall or Ashby.

Or maybe find a mystery injury again and put him on the IL.

Corbin Burns never had good starts to his games either.

2.67 ERA in August says otherwise

It is mostly the swings players have been able to put on him.  He looks like he is starting to be going into a dead arm period.  The results are there but he has been leaving a lot of pitches in the middle of the zone.  I think his ERA should be higher than it is.  His FIP is 3.62 and an xFIP of 4.37 in August which shows it should be higher.

Maybe teams are starting to get a better read on him now he’s been in the league a little bit

Looking at his last start against the Reds where he had 9 K’s in 7 IP he was throwing 94-95 with the FB. Today he’s been around 91 so def could be a dead arm

That's not even bad. Typically wouldn't demote one of your top starters of the season to the pen because of one month of having an "ok" xFIP.

Agreed, my "otherwise" was more in response to using one month of ERA as a counterpoint.

He hit 93 this inning.

Weird. His last few FB have been 94-95 to Cruz and Stephenson. The first two innings he was around 90-91. The entire outing against Reds last time he was 94-95

It could have been 20 degrees warmer out also. Just a guess.

I never thought I would say this:  I miss the Wisconsin Dells and Potawatomi commercials.  These political ones are awful.

I could also do without seeing the Miller Lite commercial with the guy shrieking "it is both!!! It's both!!" for probably the 800th time.

Where would you rank the Gruber Law Offices commercials?
