Blocking users - if you've had issues, please read

A few people have had difficulty blocking users, including @markedman5 and @docduany.

While I'm still unsure why this is happening, I think this workaround will resolve the issue. First, hit the link:

https://brewerfanatic.com/ignore/

Use the autofill at the top of the page to find the correct user you want to block. You need to select their name from the drop-down so the system knows precisely who you want to block.

Then make sure you check all the boxes below: posts, messages, replies, etc.

Then hit update preferences or whatever it says and that should activate the ignore.

Or you could just listen to what they have to say even if you disagree with it and see if you can come to a conclusion both sides can live with.     This is how friendships are formed from even the most outrageous posts .  It is also how news is disseminated as long as you are not living in a small  bubble of your own creation that is.   Freedom is speaking freely and it is also learning how not to be offended by other people's ideas unless they harm you or others in someway.    Adults speak to each other even if they disagree. 

Maybe save blocking people for when they use threats against others but leave the conversations open and unencumbered by censoring those you disagree with .   We get nowhere as an fanbase or a country  by blocking out the ideas we do not understand and listening to other people's ideas and the news they happen upon that you may not have is how conversations work.    Adults do not block other adults for ideas and words.  This is America.  We all can speak here and because of that we should also listen.

@Brock Beauchamp is there a way to block users from seeing my posts? I have a poster just puppy dogging all of my posts and 👎 them, even from the past. I have blocked him.

I honestly wish it would go away. I have seen an uptick on it as well. I don't mind disagreement but a thumbs down with no comment or reason on why you disagree does little to move the discussion.

I've said it before but there is absolutely nothing positive about the thumbs down feature. Completely unnecessary, it might as well just be a middle finger.

You find it hurtful when someone gives you the thumbs down?

Interesting.  I find it irritating that the guys who use it all the time don't ever comment why, but I've never cared enough what others think of my opinions to find it hurtful.  Usually it's the same handful of posters that use it, then disappear.
