We should point out that while watching an MiLB.TV game on archive requires an MiLB.TV subscription, if you have an MLB.TV sub, you can watch the minor league games live, same section where you'd go to watch the Brewers game.

Any updates on Pena, Payne, and Adamczewski? I think both Payne and Adamczewski had taken foul balls off the ankle in previous days (and some HBPs). Pena, I’ve heard nothing.

As we’ve often said here, when anyone here knows, everyone will know. Nothing held back.

Organizations are tight-lipped on such things as a norm. Listening to any and all available audio can sometimes be helpful, but otherwise, no.

The Timber Rattlers continuation home game from yesterday (down 3-2 with 1 out in the top of the 5th) has commenced, with RHP Bishop Letson (2.16 ERA, 12 Ks in 8.1 IP) coming in for yesterday’s starter Chandler Welch. It’s a scheduled 7-inning contest.

17 pitches, 9 strikes, 5 outs for Letson thus far.

Time for Wisconsin’s offense to show up, down 3-2 with 6 outs remaining. Eduardo, Baez and Hedbert due up.

Patient Eduardo Garcia watches 4 pitches, then singles to left to start things off, then Mr. Baez promptly flies out on the first pitch. Sigh.

To be fair, Juan Baez is the 2nd youngest hitter in the Midwest League.

Single, error, SB, single - that equals an unearned run off Letson and the T-Rats trail 4-2 with Jheremy Vargas, David Garcia and Daniel Guilarte left standing between a 5th straight home defeat.

10 pitches by Lansing in the final frame: back-to-back walks for Jheremy Vargas and David Garcia. Let’s pull this thing out!

Matt Wood with a pinch hit RBI single the other way(!) and it’s 4-3, 2 on, nobody out with the Big 3 due up: Tayden Hall, Blake Burke, Jadher Areinamo.

Hall Ks. Burke swings on a 3-0 pitch and grounds into a 4-6-3 double play. What a gut punch after the bottom of the lineup T’d it up on a silver platter.

T-Rats drop their 5th straight.

23-year old RHP Tyson Hardin doesn’t give up runs (9 IP, 0 R, 9 Ks), but Wisconsin doesn’t win (lost 5 straight), so something’s gotta give in their home series finale against Lansing.

Two wounded Mudcats return (CF Braylon Payne, DH/INF Luis Pena) and 18-year old RHP Melvin Hernandez (4.05 ERA, 6 Ks in 6.2 IP) gets the start as Low-A Carolina aims to clinch a home series win over Delmarva.

LF Jheremy Vargas guns down a baserunner at home for the 2nd straight game, keeping it 0-0 thru 3 innings. Juan Baez has Wisconsin’s sole hit thus far. Hedbert Perez also had a diving catch earlier.

After starting 3-3, who would have guessed the T-Rats would have the worst record of the affiliated teams? Biloxi looked like they could not win for a bit, but have come back to life - I still think T-Rats can/will have a better record by year's end particularly if Burke can hit and they get some reinforcements from Carolina later in the year.

After Hardin’s first hitless frame (3-up, 3-down 4th inning), the usual suspects come through as Wisconsin strikes first: Blake Burke double, Jadher Areinamo single, Eduardo Garcia sac fly. 1-0 T-Rats thru 4 innings.

Tyson Hardin had a clean 5th inning (2 Ks - that’s 6 Ks for the game, with no walks or HBPs), then doubles from Hedbert Perez and Yhoswar Garcia doubled Wisco’s lead to 2-0.

LHP Bruce Zimmermann (4.91 ERA, 7 Ks in 11 IP) makes his 2nd start (4th appearance) as AAA Nashville gets a 2nd chance to close out a series win at Nashville. 1B Ernesto Martinez Jr.’s hitting streak has reached 8 games.

The Timber Rattlers closed out the 2-0 win to head into their 2-day Easter break on a better note.

Tyson Hardin issued his first walk with 2 outs in the penultimate inning, then RHP Zach Peek closed it out from there, working around a single that inning and a walk in the final frame. Jadher Areinamo had 2 hits to boost his team-leading OPS to .878.

Hardin's been really impressive to start the season.

Yeah. He has looked good. Looked in command of his pitches today. Max velo was 94 touched 95 I think in the 1st, and still 92-93 (touching 94) in the 5th/6th.  Not sure all his pitches but a breaking ball that moved and fooled hitters. Not sure if he throws a change, but something was upper 80s and seemed right down the middle but the batters could not hit. He was also efficient. 5.2 IP, 75 pitches and his last batter was the only full count he had all day long, and that was his lone walk. He had back to back hits, but it was that throw by Vargas that kept the Lugnuts from scoring.

Hardin had career highs for innings pitched and strikeouts. A pretty good outing for him. Definitely a pitcher who could move seeing as how his is at high A already, and could move to AA before season is over.

Hardin was a 12th Rd pick for us last year... It won't take too many more starts like he has had to open the year before he gets bumped up. Nice little surprise for the TRats thus far.

Inflated trade value currently ;)

CF Braylon Payne pulls a triple in his first plate appearance. Yeah, he seems healthy. Unfortunately we didn’t knock him in. Go Mudcats!

Sounds like the outfielder lost it in the sun, but Payne was on his horse and legged it out. So yes he looks healthy. And Bitonti strikes out, he is still missing too many, when he makes contact look out, but Eric has to work on contact. Pena hit it hard but right at the SS.

Melvin Hernandez with a good start. 2 IP, and had no serious contact with a hard hit grounder to first that got past Bitonti (camera angle did not show it, so hard to know if it was playable) and the second hit was dribbler up the 3rd base line that never crossed the foul line. A couple well hit balls right a fielders.

Di Turi gets a hit tonight on a weird pop up that the wind pushed into fair territory and had the 3rd baseman fooled, as it must have moved a lot. So a couple hits for the Muddies based upon poor fielding. We will take it.
