A two out hanging tear drop bloop single scores another in a 2-2 count. 5-3 Shuckers trail. Man. Rough outing. Cruz pitches 1/3 inning and is pulled after 20 pitches and five runs allowed.

Wow. Shuckers take a 6-5 lead on an E2 into CF. Man on third base now. Two down. A Lara sac fly tied it. Adams walked in the first run. Boeve is in a 3-1 count. Just what the doctor ordered.

Boeve looks at consecutive inside 93 mph heaters at his knees and goes down looking. Shuckers will try to protect the 6-5 lead in the 7th.

Ashby's rehab outing didn't leave me feeling as hopeful as Hall's. Ashby still hasn't found the velo he had at the end of last season.

Hey now Jorge Quintana is 2-for-2 tonight with a dub. He is approaching the Mendoza Line with his recent run at the dish. You love to see it. ACL Crew trail 2-0. Bottom 3rd.

Really quality first batter K from Yoho here in the fifth. Nice cutter for a swinging strike in there. Nice patented change-up to get Jake Gatewood looking (Yes, that Gatewood).

ACL Crew have tied it up 2-2. Seven hits to one. Looks like Mercedes was done in by a couple errors in the top half. Both runs were tallied unearned.

Bo Bowman just took a 97 mph come backer off his leg/knee. He took himself out of the game but is in the dugout. Hoping for the best there. RHP Will Childers will come on. Man on 1st. One down. Shuckers still lead 6-5.

Exactly. I left thinking: Welp, he needs more work. Kind of just touched 94 mph? Had his patented four pitch walk. Just not a whole lot to leave excited over.

Misiorowski out of the game after only 54 pitches.  Planned or something else going on?

Yeah, it was planned. Nothing of note other than Civale didn't make his scheduled rehab start so Miz filled in. Unconfirmed, but all thoughts would be Civale is piggy backing tomorrow with Cargo.

Childers got a fly out after the runner stole 2B. Two down. BUT, Childers gave up a gapper nearly to the wall in LF. It's now a 6-6 game. Top of 8. Two down. Man on second. AND, Childers now gave up a 3-1 two-run jack off the RF foul pole. WOOF. 8-6 Smokies. Absolute dead center hanging breaking ball in a 3-1 count. Can't happen. 102 mph. No doubt.

Meanwhile, in a 1-1 game in the bottom of the fifth Adam Hall just ripped a ground ball past the diving 3B and Hall legged out a stand up triple. No slide. Nobody out. Zamora will try to bring him in.

He was up to 95.1 but with the Brewers at the end of last season he was averaging 96.2 on his sinker.

Zamora executes the sac fly on a 100 mph heater that saw too much plate. Really nice work after looking over-matched earlier in the AB vs the heater. He rips it deep enough into RF for Hall to tag easily. Sounds lead 2-1.

The downgrade from Pratt ---- > EBJ ----- > Murray ----- > Vargas at SS is palpable in this contest. This is a tall ask for a utility guy. He's doing his best but he really isn't close to the caliber of SS as the above mentioned guys.

Anywho, with a runner on 2B and two down, Lara swung out on a slider in the dirt at his feet in a 2-2 count. 8-6 deficit and they will look to try and pull off the feat in the 9th.

I swear Knoxville has timed ever SB attempt on an off-speed pitch. Miller has made some valiant attempts but the Smokies continue to get into scoring position.

Liranzo strands Jay's two runners in the 7th and the Sounds win 2-1 sweeping the double-header. Noice! They remain 3.5 GB Lehigh Valley.

Catching up. So I wonder what happened to Woodruff. He was hitting 93-95 in the start before his original last rehab start. The very last one was lower velocity, but was either him holding back, or the ankle that set him back. But he was cleared to pitch and it was still pretty low velocity.

Hall -encouraging results. Ashby baby steps back again.

RHP Jacob Misiorowski has not hit a batter in 2025. He has a sub 1.00 WHIP in every month. He has struck out 63 in 52 1/3 IP. He has a 0.157 BAA on the season.
