Didn’t watch but Yeager went 3up and 3 down. That’s 8 IP, 3 more outs from another huge win for Biloxi.

i am watching Nashville - yeah don’t do that offense - but love me them comebacks and love me wins against any Cubs affiliate

Dang. Yeager gives up 2 singles after the ominous “lead off walk”. Tie game in Biloxi 5-5 and Knoxville threatening for more….

Childers come in for Yeager and keeps any more runs from scoring. Going to 9th tied 5-5.

Sounds trying for more, as the former Sound Miz has another nice start huh?

Man, I really like RHP Melvin Hernandez's competitive spirit. Extremely happy to see him have the game he has had tonight. Extremely happy to see the Muddies tie the series up. The Mudctas definitely faded late in this first half but Hernandez has been highly competitive in nearly every outing. He has sneaky good stuff. With that wiry frame you can't help but wonder what his next five year window looks like developmentally. He has a ridiculously good change-up already. There is some movement profile to build and stack velo into his heater profile. Great to see him rewarded tonight.

You might say so

Aw man. 4 walks in the bottom of the 9th for Biloxi, but we don’t score. Argh! I’m not sure who’s left to pitch extra innings. In retrospect, we probably needed more out of Middendorf.

Sounds win. Jay pitched into 9th and got 2 outs but bases loaded. Liranzo in and gave up 2 run double but gets the last out.

Shuckers in extras and Knoxville goes small ball with bunts to get a run in.

Bryant struggling now. Walk, single and HBP and now 3-1 count. A lot of balls. Command not there tonight. Gotta keep it a 1-run game Tyler.

Bryant is just wild. A lot of complete misses.
When he is on he is great. But will have nights like this (hasn’t happened in a while)

He walked another. So other than the sac bunts, no “earned” outs this inning. Let’s get out of the inning here and move on.

Doesn't feel fair to Tyler Bryant. He pitched on Wednesday and shouldn't have to wear this, in my humble opinion.

Oh I agree. I’m lamenting his rough night. He has been so good recently. But just didn’t have it tonight

Xavier Warren in to pitch

So, I am on vacation. Finally get a chance to check baseball and see the game Misiorowski had. Eventually move over to minor league thread, see a Dinges homer highlight, check to make sure I didn’t click one of the threads from earlier in the week. Not a perfect night across the organization, but the highs were pretty high.

Why did they throw Justin in for that second inning

They don't like throwing pitchers 2 times in 3 days, so hoped Yeager could pitch 2 innings.

Didn't work, thus forcing Childers and Bryant to throw.

I still think Middendorf's 18 pitches were too few. The team needed more. Too bad Bryant had to walk the world and give up a grand slam over 34 pitches (14 strikes).
