I was thinking about Misiorowski and what the plans are for him for the rest of the season.  I know they were talking about limiting his innings during his last outing.  Are we going to have him for the stretch run?  Are there other pitchers like Woodruff that might be on an innings limit?

I don't think any details have been made public on this. I would imagine teams might be more inclined to share information following the trade deadline. It doesn't behoove the Brewers to let teams know what they are thinking, in terms of their pitchers and their availability.

There is little precedent to a guy on an innings limit being a top of the line starter during a playoff push as far as I know. Others probably have better examples but the most glaring one that comes to mind for me is Strasburg with the Nationals and they shut him down.

I have no inside knowledge of anything but I'm not expecting Miz to be there come playoff time.

Woodruff I would think is good to go.

I assume they would use him as an “opener” essentially which I don’t have a problem with. If he could do ~3-4 innings to get through the top of the order twice that would be ideal. We don’t need any more than that.

Yeah I agree with this. Anymore, that’s just how playoff baseball is done anyways, it seems. With the stakes so high, teams are usually even more hesitant to let a guy go through the order too many times and they want to maximize a pitcher’s stuff on any given day by letting him throw harder over a shorter outing. All things being equal, I’d prefer Miz be able to go 6 or 7, but that will come in time. For this year, I don’t think the Brewers lose too much with 3 or 4 innings plus a Hall or Ashby piggyback.
