One of the small market playbooks is to hoard prospects until you get a window, then sell them for the expensive rentals you can’t afford to sign in FA (CC Sabathia).

I tried to log in on my iPad. Turns out it was an etch-a-sketch and I don't own an iPad. Also, I'm out of vodka.

You couldn’t be more correct!  And that year is 2-5 years from now.   We have more talent we can obtain still as we grow as a team.   And btw the guys we have here could win the World Series and we will probably make another minor move or two that likely gets us to the NLCS.

This is something Doug Melvin would do, not this current regime.

maybe they WERE thinking 2-5 years but this year's team kind of screwed that up. There isnt really a marquee team at the top and we are as good as anyone. you also cant say for sure we will have a top of the rotation group as solid and healthy as we have this year.

I don’t see ant which way we trade for O’Hearn.   Or Suarez.

1) we will try for Kwan hardest with a good package maybe too light

2) we will attempt for a Rengifo Ward Angels trade for Quintana Cortes and Black.

3). Arnold and Murphy have an epiphany that awakens them that says “omg we have 10 good starting pitchers??  Lets chance it that they could be phenomenal for 1-2 innings for us in relief and not overpay for a worse pitcher throwing in the pen for a bad team now”

True, we aren't ever (nor should) empty the farm and go "all in".  We can (and should) be willing to give up some of our very loaded system in our current situation.

Lots flog trades today…happy we didn’t make one of them.

This brewer fanatic thinks we are just not moving 7-11 prospects that we have.
And  if any team went thru with a trade due to us not enhancing our offer…….

Be happy Brewer Nation, because we have something that will last several years.

Santana is better by a mile than O’Hearn, especially given the significant prospect O’Hearn apparently will get Baltimore.

it will take less than half the OHearn cost to get Santana.

Note: I wouldn’t trade for any 1b option myself.   I trust the current core.

The month of May is the only thing keeping Santana from being the worst qualified hitter in baseball this season. His glove still plays but O’Hearn is also a quality defender at 1B. O’Hearn is the better player at this point in their careers

Gunnar Henderson for

Cooper Pratt

Jeferson Quero

Logan Henderson

KC Hunt

Throwing stuff at the wall

You're not getting one of the best young players in the game without Made or Pena (or both), plus everything else you listed (or more). I would send Made out for Henderson in a heartbeat for the record.
