Contreras with another 0-5 in the two hole

It was his 3rd 0 for 5 in 114 games. It will occasionally happen when you hit at the top of the lineup every day.

This was a satisfying sweep over a Braves team who is better than their record shows, even without Acuna and Riley in the lineup.  They still have a lot of talent and will be good again next year.

Atlanta canning Kevin seitzer as hitting coach is right up there with the stupidest moves I've seen out of a front office in 20 years.

Let's get a third hitting coach. Seitzer is a dude.

I thought Quintana was decent today, a very good "fifth starter" type performance which is more-or-less his role these days. Atlanta had a real nice game plan of going the other way, something easier said than done vs him with all the off speed stuff. Then Profar with the HR, which I thought was really earned with his approach/discipline in that AB. All in all, maybe a nice time to be done with Atlanta as they made our pitchers work, really yesterday too.

Koenig with a very gratifying 7th inning. And good luck with Uribe if he locates like he did in the 8th.

In the inning when Vaughn led off with the HR, I don't know if I ever saw a team have so many hard-hit balls in an inning & only score one run. Baseball.

Well-deserved day off. But lay off the creampuffs.

Yup. There’s basically no difference between a solo HR and a walk up 5-3 in the 9th. That pitch may have been a little *too* good, but I’d much rather him pound the zone and get ahead than nibble and then all of the sudden be down 3-1 and lose him.

I don't know what it registered on the gun, but it looked to me like a "Two outs, no one on, up by two" opening pitch to Harris. And I too am fine with that. One run game, might've been a different sequence as his breaking ball was pretty nasty all inning.

99 mph, middle middle. I think Megill occasionally misses his spots. Or, sometimes is ‘here it is, hit it’

Better than walking someone. 🤷‍♂️

There's no way. The Brewers know what they have here.

Hoskins is going to be a situational hitter and Vaughn likely going to get days off here and there. Vaughn will get the bulk of at bats.

Andrew Vaughn thriving with the Brewers for 7 weeks now while Hoskins needs Nashville first to get a reboot after his time off for a thumb sprain.

Sal Frelick's Grade 1 left hamstring strain only on the 10 day injured list and Contreras playing with a fractured left middle finger.

Brewers are aiming for Hoskins to begin a rehab assignment maybe in late August. Brewers seem to have great difficulty getting the Hoskins move going and I don't blame them.

It was back to back 0-5 days
