Just was. I hope to return early next year to catch these two up and comers.

CF Brailyn Antunez was pulled for a defensive Sub before the second inning completed. All we see is the last play he was a part of was fielding a single to CF:

Rodny Rosario singles on a line drive to center fielder Brailyn Antunez. Angel Abreu scores. Ricardo Romero to 2nd.

He left the game two outs later after a strikeout but before the in ing ended. Hopefully, nothing happened to his throwing arm during this play. We'll simply have to stay tuned.

Moises Polanco also exited early, while Jonathan Rangel and Juan Martinez didn’t play (again).

I’m preparing my mind for radio silence on them until Minor League Spring Training. But we’ll see.

The Timber Rattlers host Dodgers’ affiliate Great Lakes this week, as SS Jesus Made and 2B Luis Pena get a taste of Wisconsin summer. RHP Travis Smith makes his 2nd High-A start (4 IP, 2 R, 3 Ks last week).

Is tonight the night the bats get sizzling? I have absolutely zero idea. RHP Chad Patrick will look to bounce back after OF Joey Wiemer took him to the woodshed his last time on the bump:

And, Patrick hangs another. And another is absolutely tanked over the left CF wall. Dead center floating duck off-speed. 1-1 game. He's giving up a lotta Johnsons the past two starts. Not a good trend.

They never start the bluechip college upperclassmen in Low-A. Always High-A placements. You'll get a Ragsdale in your line up soon enough though. That should be a fun addition.

First game back and the opposing team is already throwing baseballs at Payne again. Second inning. Pick-off attempt to 1B hits him right in the left ribs as he slid back to the bag. Yowch. He was in pain. He is staying in however as he told the trainer to go back. Meanwhile, on the next pitch, Adamczewski tried to leg out a hard hit gapper that was cut down in right CF and they gunned him down on the throw to second base. Beat him by a step. Dang it. 2-0 they head to the bottom of 2.

Patrick escapes further damage. 2 K. Single into LF. Web Game diving stop and throw to 1B where EMJ grabs it in the splits on a short hop up the RF line. Incredible third out. 1-1 game. On to the third.
