Talk about breaking out of slumps (or at least perceived slumps) - Ollie Dunn with a HR and EMJ with a double and scores on a Murray single, and Sounds now up 5-2

Fischer with a solid hit to left center, he is 2-2 in that professional career. Maybe he can hit 1.000 in his career

Then he steals a base - wow 2 for 2 as well. Maybe time to change his number from #21 to #22

Mayor!! Stand up RBI double by Warren scores Lara (who walked) and it's 6-3.

How was that second run scored you ask - Pratt lead off walk, then advances to 2nd on the grounder by Burke. Steals 3rd and scores on an error. Catcher just threw it away.

Tanner Gillis settled down after the HR. His  velo up and struck out the last batter of the 3rd. Then a ground out, and then a K on a 93 mph fastball. His velo was 91 or so early and now pushing 93 touched 94. He gets another K, followed by another K on a moving 93 mph pitch. Nice

So 4 retired in a row, 3 via the K. That's a bounceback

Cornielle still out there in the 4th, and walks the first batter. But gets a tailor made DP ball to 2nd, to SS to first. And good thing because the next batter ropes it right for a double, would have scored at least one. But 2 outs and runner on second, and a chance to have another good even innings (as opposed to bad odd innings)

Sorry Alexander, I jinxed you. You walk the next batter and then McCabe (who is 6-10 this series) gets a 2 RBI double, and just missed a HR. Ugh 8-3. Sorry I won't post good news until the inning is in the books.

Ethan Murray scores EMJ to extend the lead to 7-2

The Sounds score their 6th run via the expected way - Cameron and Oliva with back-to-back doubles.

Cornielle get the strike out, but a few batters too late.

Meanwhile L. Castillo goes up 3-0 in the count, then 3-2, and then strikes out swinging. I believe in the slump being over Luis, you will get 'em next time.

Welp. Mudcats win the first two games of the series, but drop the night cap last night and the game today. These are much needed wins for the Muddies if they want to get to the playoffs.  Pitching was fine, defense had 2 errors but didn't see them, but only 4 hits on offense won't do it. They are better than that. Adamczewski is it, as Bitonti continues to slug a few XBH, but a lot of swing and miss in between.  I want to believe in him, especially still so young, but he a big hole in the swing.

Tanner Gillis with two quick outs, and throws three beautiful strikes to Z. Hope, but the only problem is two of them are called balls - c'mon.  Then he gives up a single. Should be out of the inning

Much better catch and throw by Dinges, but just to the left too much, Made catches it and has to pull it over for the tag and Hope is safe.  If that was on target they get a very good runner in Hope. Again the arm strength is there, the accuracy especially to second has to be refined. And he can do it.

Well. he's a bust 😉 - Fischer strikes out - on a 101 mph fastball up in the zone. Wow that Loons pitcher can throw gas, but may not know the gas is going.

Shuck yeah

EBJ with a base hit and scores Warren, and EBJ gets to 2nd on the play

Vargas up and he bloops it to shallow right and 2 runners score

Tie Ball Game!

Now that was a bullet by Dinges, a little to the SS side but a dart and Pena gets the tag down. Caught stealing. Nice job. See it's all there just need to gets the throws more consistent.

The Shuckers rally is even crazier when you factor in that the inning started out with Pratt and Burke striking out and I was looking up how many times Lucas Braun has faced them (3 times prior to tonight), then it was walk to Lara that started it all off.

Yikes Vargas (EDIT: I thought it was EBJ but he scored) caught stealing to end the inning.

TRats two quick outs. It is really Made/Fischer tonight for the offense. Bottom of 6 and Alastre singles

Shuckers trying to keep it tied in the top of 6, with 1 out and a runner on second. Big comeback last inning.

Will check back again in a bit.

McCabe is absolutely destroying the Shuckers this series. Who does he think he is? Babe Vaughn?'!

Can confirm Bishop Letson is in Appleton. Perhaps this is already known. My boy got an auto tonight form the talented young hurler.

We had heard the intent was to get him back with an affiliate this week. BUT this is the first confirmation. Thanks for the update!
