We've won 3 of our last 4 since the unlucky Rangers sweep....

One was a damn miracle.    in a season of crazy wins that might have been the most unlikely.

we will see them again at the end of the week.

We may have seen the last of Quintana.  Don't need a fourth starter until the NLCS, the potential of Hall and Gasser returning, Patrick and Misiorowski can be multi-inning playoff relievers.

Q made some solid contributions to this effort this season, but I wouldn't want him on the mound in a playoff game that matters.

Let's win tonight and keep the pressure on the Cubs and Phillies!

It's almost a must-win game.

If we lose tonight and the Cubs are only back 4, and Phillies 1 if they win tonight.

Man, the Cubs and Phillies really aren't giving us any help, each going 7-1 in their last 8

Last night was a clean, comfortable victory.  Hopefully we have 2 more easy wins versus the Halos.

Looking at the remaining schedules

Philly (after tonight) has a cakewalk.  I expect them to go 8-1 (or better) in their final 9...  with a loss tonight, that gets them to 99-93

Cubs, I could see 3-1, 2-1, 2-1 to finish the season, that would leave the Cubs at 95-67.  They've been on a roll lately though, and that 7-3 finish could easily be a 9-1 finish (which would make them 97-65)

To keep the 1 seed, feels like the Brewers need to

- win the final 2 against the hallos
- win 2/3 versus the Cards
- get atleast 1 win in SD
- win the final series against the Reds

7-4 probably gets us the #1 seed, 6-5 probably get us the #2 seed, 5-6 or worse might get us the wildcard (and deservedly so)

I wouldn't say the Phillies have a cupcake after tonight Arizona is still in the wildcard hunt, but yes Miami and Minnesota are  looking forward to the Off season.

LA surprisingly  looks like a tough schedule with Ariz, Sea and SF having something to play for

SD- Mets, Ariz and Mil playing for something but the CHI Sox will be a cakewalk (currently 2 GB of LA)

Cubs- Mets, Reds have something to play for and the Cards might play Chicago tough with their rivalry

We know after these two games, the Crew schedule will get tougher so interesting last few weeks of season.

Noticed no Collins again - did I miss anything about him?

Just came to ask the same thing. That's two days in a row, and Blake has not been performing well lately. I trust Collins a lot more.

Collins has been playing some balls bad late in the OF, Is it possible Murphy is using the " if you don't play good defense that you sit a few games" . Plus Collins was picked off first a few games ago. Murphy stresses smart base running as well.  Maybe Perkins defensively is taking priority in this series ???

I think they want the better defender in cf with fly ball pitchers on the mound.

Chourio seems much more comfortable in left.

If Collin’s isn’t in there tomorrow then we can start wondering

ps also note that Mona is playing tonight which undoubtedly is trying to upgrade offensively with a fly ball pitcher on the mound.

Is the internet wrong? I've read in multiple locations the Brewers Magic Number is 7 Games. I'm also a middle-aged man prone to forgetting things. I take no responsibility for this post. My dog typed this.

Velocity way down in the first for Woody……10 days off hopefully it ramps up

Top speed 88 so far.

If we can be patient with Soriano, we can put runners on the bases.

Soriano is weird. If you look at his game log he either gives up a TON or runs or goes 6-8 excellent innings. Not much in between.
