Can't imagine you can execute a major league AB with a bad hammy.

I can. Pulled hamstring is not that bad until you exert yourself. You can walk on them without remembering you're hurt. The second you try to run, you'll feel it. Depending on how bad it is, you can swing a bat.

He can't run the bases, but that is not as important if he hits a "double" to score somebody, stops at first and you just yank him. Especially if it's his back leg, it wouldn't surprise me at all if he could hit painless.

The Brewers top relievers haven't pitched in 6 days and would be 8 days if they didn't pitch today. That's why you go to Ashby, Koenig, and Uribe/TM

Get them the work and secure the W

Yep.   That’s why i wouldn’t disparage the guy.  He shows up.   Compared to other brewer pitchers.

He sure does. He's been a fighter for us all year.

Yes … two approaches to take: Burnes or Adames

Burnes didn’t love being a Brewer. Adames did. I think Peralta likes it here, too.

Doesn't mean we should want to resign any of them. Just let them play out their deal and take the pick.

They’re pitching not to walk dudes so giving up solo shots isn’t the worst thing in the world.   Not liking the offense going cold.

How much better would we be this year if we traded Willy for arms or bats?

If you have more arms and bats, do you trade for Vaughn and Priester?  It happened the right way.

If you automatically trade every good player in their last year, nobody will want to play here.  We treated Willy as well as he treated us.  It ended amicably, and that type of thing helps keep the positive culture the Brewers have.

In fairness, the Brewers did trade one of their compensation draft picks for Quinn Priester

Not every good player. Just excellent players in the final years of their contract. Yeah, it would be great to have them for another year, but if you target 2025 as the year you can realistically make it to the World Series, you make the decisions that will get you there and give you the best chance to win. We don't have $300 million plus to spend.

Not really a fan of the broadcast (esp. watching on HBO since I cut the cord). The sound is definitely weird, as others have noted.

And I’m certainly not a fan of the way Darling calls the game. His comments remind me of Joe Buck in the 2018 NLCS, where he seemed simply baffled by the way the Brewers played the game. Comes off like a fogey at best, anti-Brewers partisan at worst (and I’m not someone who thinks Darling or Buck hates Wisconsin or whatever, but they don’t always do a very good job of combating the narrative, in my opinion).
