Second magic double play on a ball to the OF in the series

Well, probably time to wander off.  I've had my fill of naive, non-competitive at bats the last few days.

What a fun season it was!

Also, how good is it to watch your team break the Cubs hearts both in the regular season and the playoffs?

The end sucked but the year was fun.  There are worse things!  And none of the Brewers fans on this site had to resort to masquerading as a Cubs fan on someone else's site to try to feel like less of a loser because our team got trucked in both the regular season and the playoffs by a division rival!

Go Brewers, now and always.

Quit in game?  Season StILL on!

Reminds of Ron Roenicke going down with Sean Marcum in 2011.

The thing I liked about Roenicke is that he liked the suicide squeeze. We didn't win as much as we wanted, but the games could be exciting.

Just so bad right now. They have packed it in for the offseason.

Have they packed it up as well? I'm waiting for my opportunity to commence

The Dodgers aren't looking to bomb. They are lacing hits.  That's how we used to play, a million years ago.

It also helps that they’re getting hittable pitches in the zone…..

Yeah, Quintana can be the left-handed version of Jeff Suppan at this point in his career against good teams.

This is about the kind of result I would have expected tonight when you start a pitcher like Jose Quintana against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Not that they really had a choice. But maybe we can forget about the idea that opening games with Ashby in any way negatively affected this series.

Murphy reminds me of Mickey Rourke in Sin City.

I was thinking, "wasn't his name 'Murph'?" but no, it was Marv.

That’s a name I had blocked in the memory bank. Thanks for resurrecting that trauma.

Some people were wondering why Quintana hasn't started recently. Well, now we know.

One positive. That is the last time we have to see Quintana in a Brewers uniform.

He’s an ok guy to take the ball every 5th day in the regular season as your 5th guy.

He really isn’t a guy you want to trust to get outs in the NLCS in an elimination game.
