Guessing we’d have to throw in Megill and then potentially a Hardin and Adamczewski type (along with Freddy) to get a deal done for those two guys.

I guess this would depend on what we think of Bello. I don’t know enough about the kids stuff to provide much feedback.

Probably looking at Pena. People are underestimating how much value Duran has and overestimating the value of Freddy.

None of the above.

Personally, I think the Baz acquisition takes Baltimore out of the Peralta sweepstakes. Substitute Tolle for Witherspoon and I might do the Boston deal. Substitute Tong for Sproat and I might do the Mets deal.

Henderson, Pratt, Gasser, and Burke might start a conversation.

Endaround, I love your low key hyperbole every single post.   Yep, that sure as heck fire would both start and end a conversation with a signed and sealed acceptance from the Boston end for your “idea”

Pratt I might be willing to do.   I think I’d keep Pena and Made in the organization if at all possible.   But Freddy and Pratt for Duran and Bello seems realistic (maybe a bullpen arm like Koenig is added by us if needed).

In what world is that realistic?  Even Willy Wonka would call this a fantasy.

The Oompa Loompas are gonna be surprised by the quality of the players we get for Peralta (whether these are the names involved or not).  Let’s wait and see.

My instinct is to agree with you, but there haven’t been many good recent comps that I could find, and the ones there are (mostly Paredes and Arozarena at the 2024 deadline) weren’t overwhelming from a prospect perspective. And with Paredes trade 2, you could argue Peralta=Tucker-Cam Smith and the reliever. I feel like there are an absurd range of trade valuations I could see him having. I mean 2024 happened, but if the Red Sox thought it was likely to happen again he wouldn’t be getting shopped.

I think would likely take Freddy and Letson (or more) to get Duran. Then to get a young controllable starters like Bello would be like Megill, Pratt/Pena, and probably someone like Burke/JoshA/Meccage/JD Thompson/Knoth

That is way to much for my blood.

Yeah, there is a zero percent chance the brewers add anything on top of Freddy for Duran.   I’d be surprised if they did straight up too.   If that’s the best out there, we happily. (And I mean that) keep him for his contract year and take the first round comp pick.
