Jose Meneses struck out the side in the 8th for Wilson. I have no idea how hard his FB is. Didn't look super hard but felt like it had good life on it. Fayetteville did not look comfortable against it.

Yes, the hitters were very late. And it was the heart of the Fayetteville order. The announcers mentioned it was 92 but it was one of the first ones he threw.

Not a night to remember for the Wilson hitters so far. 15 strikeouts through 8 innings.

With Perez out hopefully they wake up

92 definitely makes sense.

Broadcast has mentioned the Carolina League got rid of hitter timeouts which feels really silly to me. I feel like time management rules are just not necessary with the pitch clock.

Wilson scores another on an errant pick off but the inning ends as Ortuno is tagged out trying to get to third.

2-0 bottom of the 9th, Meneses is staying in to close

How else could it end? Meneses with yet another fast ball right down the middle for a K and the game.

Wilson has a 1.000 all-time winning percentage!!!

Eric Brown Jr is one of those guys with whom you just can't help but wonder what could have been if they'd put it all together. 0-4 today with 3 strikeouts and 6  left on base.

Ryan Birchard with 3+ of work. Book not closed on him yet, but as it stands he had no runs or hits, 4 strikeouts and 6(!!) walks. Broca in now for the bottom of the 8th

Childers looked pretty good in his inning. He's throwing a pretty good changeup with I don't know when that happened. Both of his whiffs were on the changeup today.

Crow looked strong, nothing hit particularly hard.

Crazy to remember the whole debate a few years back around Seattle manipulating Jarred Kelenic's service time by keeping him down when he was like the #1 overall prospect.  He's still hitless for AAA-Charlotte.

Someone mentioned the possible need for another hard-throwing righty in the pen at some point.  Not a triple digits hard thrower, but Childers could earn himself a look.

Bases loaded no outs in Rocket City. All reached on walks. 10 walks so far today for the Shuckers. Lets se if Mr Broca can get out of it

O'Rae makes a fantastic diving play to initiate a double play, though a run scores. Next man pops out but it's a brand new ball game heading into the 9th, Those walks are killers,

Kelenic also turned down a nice extension, didn't he? Wonder if he's regretting that.

It's actually sinful how full our lineups are in AAA, AA, and A+.

Random notes... I know a few have mentioned him on this MiLB board here but on the big league board it feels like Boeve is a forgotten man. Where is ARob? Did Boeve play with an injury all of last year that was not disclosed?

If he turns into 2024 Boeve and Blake Burke looks like Blake Burke looks suddenly our corner infield spots are just as jammed as our middle infield spots.
