Not sure if it’s just the dad brain affecting my ability to read, but what does this mean? Why would the Brewers need to resort to the scrap heap when Lara is slashing .329/.429/.517 and is a superior defender?

Really depends on whether they want to start the clock on him while waiting for Lockridge to return.

Luis Lara has 168 PAs at AAA where he has looked very good.

Last year he had 612 PAs of .712 OPS in AA.

Lots of guys have looked good with less than 200 PAs in AAA.  I'd like to see the sample size bigger before burning an option on him.

7 strong from Mis.  Wow.  Wouldn't have guessed that after he was stuck throwing extra pitches in the 1st after the blown review call.

He’s walking out for the 8th inning … never mind

Lara should be given every opportunity to see if he's an upgrade in center. In a world where Greg Jones is getting big league ab what's the hold up?

I get the idea of trying to get yourself in scoring position with 2 outs… but that was not a great decision.

I would rather he tried to find a splitter to steal on.

That was kind of an iffy decision to send him back out for the 8th anyway. I get that he’s your ace, but it is is May. Ironically Miz seems like the one starter he has that he is always willing to throw caution to the wind on pitch count.

I know he's not really a natural center fielder but I wonder if Jackson will get some innings out there with Bauer in left and Yeli DHing.

Chourio played CF almost exclusively in the minors.  Almost 2,000 minor league innings in CF vs 70 innings in RF and 18 in LF.

I know he's played there but I wouldn't call him a top shelf defensive center fielder.

He can play there and he's not terrible but he's not going to win a gold glove there.

Was listening to Brewer Territory earlier and Hogg was speculating that they be playing him in left rather than center given his hamstring history

Maybe a blessing in disguise, was very suprised to see him come back out after he's ran out of gas a few times in the 6th this year.

Please read your last sentence … initially I was perplexed - now I can’t stop laughing
