He's been horrid, worse than our current 3B, who shall remain nameless.

I know he has but he maybe just needs to go back where he's had some success and he wouldn't cost much.

Ortiz is who he is.  We already know that, and he has been on the team for 3 seasons.

Rengifo was our big FA signing in the off season, he is drawing more scorn because of that, and the fact that he stinks.

Why even bother entertaining that guy? We all know he can’t be taken seriously and does nothing but poke his head in for a tired jab from time to time.

He's not getting more scorn because he was a free agent signing I don't think.  I honestly don't think anyone actually cares about that, particularly given his relatively modest contract.  I'll give you the rest though.  His slugging from that three year window ending 2024 hasn't reappeared, even if if hadn't been snakebit by BABIP bad luck the first 2 to 3 weeks of the season.  He went from getting unlucky to just not hitting the ball hard all that often, and his defense has been a little worse than advertised.

You know, they don’t have to see the top of the Dodger order again. Would be nice to have that happen.

Patrick Is quickly becoming my favorite Brewer.  There are so many awesome young players to choose from on this team.

The biggest thing working against him on being a starter is how good he is out of the pen. The pen is so much better with Patrick available out of it.

That's why Hader never went back to starting even though he had in the minors.

Not to get back into the extension discussions, but I feel like Hader was most valuable early on when he was our highest leverage reliever rather than “the closer”

if we could pay Patrick via extension so that we can use him how he can be most valuable to us, rather than most valuable for arby counting stats, it could be a win-win

I agree re: Hader.  He went multiple innings in that era too, until he transitioned to a closer role and made comments about not wanting to go 2 or 3 innings per outing.

With Henderson gutting out a good job to start the game and Patrick finishing things off impressively, I think Patrick has his role moving forward for awhile.
