It's interesting that I thinking the timing of a potential move influences who makes more sense. A few weeks ago that slow start for Pratt had a bit more weight, and looking at William's positional flexibility also was a point in his favor. Now since Pratt has continued to sustain fairly well he has the edge in season numbers, and since he is already under contract Super 2 is not relevant. Ortiz has been moved to the bench sort of, and Rengifo has undermined his position on both sides of the ball. I would agree that at home against a mediocre appoint is a nice way to bring up a rookie. I think it also helps that no one is expecting ROY type performance, just be better than what we have had.

With Rengifo sitting last two days against RHP and seemingly out of favor, I'm really hoping this will be it and they were just waiting for the homestand to start. I saw little reason to wait a month ago, even less now. Whether it's Jett (Who didn't play Sunday, which could mean anything) or Pratt, either way it'll be an improvement. Decent chance Rengifo clears waivers too, tho he may well elect free agency in that case.

EDIT: Though I would expect they'll wait a while still.

EDIT #2: Rengifo not only still here, but in the starting lineup.
