Here’s my two cents on Pratt.

I don’t care if he’s hitting or not.   I already know the people he replaced cannot hit.   There is not one at bat that he makes where I’m going to say I wish Ortiz or regifro etc was up.    The game changed once he signed that contract.   The brewers clearly think he’s a future starter.   He should be playing period

now if he was replacing a .270 hitting shortstop I would say no for now.   But he’s not.    He needs to take his hacks here now.    I still don’t understand why we signed that contract but we can save that for later

Even if he’s hitting .150 now, the only problem I would have is if he can’t play defense.   But he’s seems fine for that.   So he should be the regular ss for the rest of this season

Why does it seem like every home run or near home run is a wall scraper? Like can you guys please hit it like 10 feet further?

Wow. That was a potential game changer.

The difference between a three run lead and a six run lead is pretty huge.

Yeah I am fine with this. I don’t expect he’s going to do much with the bat this year and maybe not even next. Neither could the guys he replaced. So whatever, take your lumps with him and be patient with the bat since you know he’s going to be here for a long time and you know the glove plays.

Amazing HR robbing catch by Dbacks LF or it would be 6-0.

hope that doesn’t come back to bite us later.

I usually save “coming back to bite” someone for a mistake they made or an opportunity they missed.

In this case they play kept the game close and the DBacks responded immediately.

We’re going to have to recognize the reality that 24 year old pitchers in their first full MLB season as starters are not going to be great every game and might hit a wall at some point.

That’s one of the many reasons why projections based on early season performances can be misleading.

Harrison is in his third season

Does it seem like Harrison is cooling off?

Big time. It was a pretty inevitable regression. He’s no Miz.

All the more reason to get that third starter at the deadline.

I guess I was focusing on the fact that he only started 6 games last year.

Regardless, he does not have a track record of being an effective starter for a full season.

Is that correct? He was up with San Francisco at the end of the  2024 season & I thought all season with Boston in 2025.

Well. Maybe we don’t have to worry about Harrison pitching in the all star game either.

He was never going to be named an All Star anyway. He's not a big enough name.
