Knoth pitched well today; Dubanewicz still not and Manuel Rodriguez an uncharacteristic 2BB and 9 H, and pulled from the game.

I don't know BUT given his injury woes in 2026 (and woes in general) I wouldn't be surprised if he left due to injury. <sad face>

I do believe that's 30 HR in 6 games for the Shuckers?! Regardless of how accurate that is this home run run is bonkers. AND, given their pitching staff woes they need every one of them.😅 Ragsdale gave the squad a 3 run lead. Biscuits are threatening with two down and have already tied the game of Broca in the top of the 7th. 8-8.

As much fun as it is to follow the tremendous Shucker offense it is equally disturbing to look at their pitching. That staff is not getting it done for that team.

Niksch is fast discovering Double-A is his first Minor League plateau. I see the Shuckers pitching staff has tipped their cap to the Brewers 7-Spot at San Francisco just a series ago. Levels to this game.

Pray for the city of Spokane tonight, gents. We are having our very own Palisades/Lahaina. NNW Spokane is on fire and the winds have not died down as of yet. Heartbreaking. Many many many people will lose their homes and have lost their homes already. The Merkel Sports Complex has burnt down - kiddos were playing soccer and baseball matches this very day until Evacuated. Nothing short of devastating for the community.

After clobbering Lansing in Game 1 earlier tonight, RHP Jayden Dubanewicz (4.29 ERA, 1.41 WHIP, 8.6 K/9 in 50.1 at High-A/Low-A IP) and High-A Wisconsin sought to complete the doubleheader sweep a clinch a home series victory. CF Braylon Payne has 3 homers over his last 2 games.

Although first inning was scoreless, 32 pitches.

Single and home run to begin the 2nd, Rick Sweet was ready with Jack Seppings (who shined in his AAA debut!).

No indication of injury, just caution in coming back from injury.

Who are the candidates for Brewers minor league pitcher of the year? It's not a very good race. Off the top of my head Letson and Deberry have been good the last 6-8 starts or so. Maybe a reliever like Wagoner or Holub. Braylon Owens?

I would put it as DeBerry, Owens and maybe Wagoner. Letson's first half struggles, and often short outings would limit him or a guy like Knoth from this type of "award" although I think Letson/KNoth are among the top prospects we have.  Also would consider Wande Torres, and Tyson Hardin if you look at his AAA splits, and ignore the AA part of his season.

So it's a few, but Dubanewicz, Dorchies, Mercedes just treading water as prospects. Wichrowski, M. Rodriguez and C. Rodriguez have all taken a step back (manuel only due to his lack of any velocity bump).  Woodward and Broughton coming back from serious injury just pitching is encouraging, so we will have to see results next year to better evaluate.

Flores, Cairone, Thompson, Morrison, Episcope, and Meccage are talented but either injured, coming back from serious injury or missed significant time and ability is the most important ability.

So it's been a less than stellar year in pitching development.  Encouraging that a lot of pitchers are finally healthy, but very few have had that big step up.
