uggg Vaughn against a RHP why must you torture me?

Vaughn has a higher OPS against right handed pitching this season than Yelich has overall.

Do you recognize more than 3 from this list?

Sometimes good pitchers give up home runs against the worst or unexpected HR hitters.

This is against Randy Johnson.  Though his top 5 are more recognizable.

Maybe its just me, but it sure seems like when Miz gives up hard contact the cutter seems to be the pitch that he throws, I don't see the need for the cutter to be used as often as it is.

Not too worried about the slight velocity decline from Miz. I imagine the heat has something to do with it, not to mention the idea that the team is being really careful. Almost wonder if today was approached with an eye toward throwing more breaking stuff and trying to back off on the full-energy fastballs.

If Miz can get outs on secondary stuff, that's good. But he's got to throw the stuff to do it. Today seems as good a day as any to try.

Because I'd like him not to have Tommy John surgery next month. He's most likely to have one sometime in his career throwing the way he does.

But is it worth it if you lose him for 18 months? You just can't rare back and throw 100+ every pitch and expect him to stay healthy.

You think you can hurt me? I watch Wisconsin sports. You can't hurt me.

Couple things:

1. If Miz gives up another HR on a cutter, I'm going to lose my mind.

2. Our offense has no chance today unless Urena walks in a bunch of runs.

3. Contreras stinks right now.

4. Make a damn trade.

I may be misinformed but I was under the impression that curve balls & other pitches cause more stress on the elbow than fastballs.

Is there any proof that injuries occur more readily when you throw 100 mph fastballs or 94 mph sliders? My guess is the threat of injury is pretty much the same.

All the talk about pitching is kinda missing the point. This team can't score consistently. I know some stat will say otherwise but the eye test is not being passed imo

Don’t know about proof, but virtually every pitcher who throws hard ends up having Tommy John surgery sooner or later.

They have a lot of good hitters.  But they dont have anyone scary, no one gets pitched around. Not that that is available.

We don’t say this often but Miz is getting outdueled today. It doesn’t mean he’s been bad but Urena has been better.

No argument here. The primary reason I hope Milwaukee avoids an extension for The Miz. Enjoy him while we have him.

A lot of pitchers come back after the surgery
