Harrison is the story of the day, no doubt about it.

The offense didn’t do a ton, but what they did do they bunched together to make it matter.

Excited to see Dustin May tomorrow. I think a lot of people underestimating him and put him on a team with a stud infield defensively and see what happens

Agreed.  I usually just follow the minors through reports (mostly on here, thanks to those that do it) and highlights on MLB network.  But I been watching some games this summer, mostly Biloxi.  He looks the part and really does it all.  Outside of Made, he was the guy I was most excited to see progress.  And the last place I want to see him do well is St Louis.  Im going to keep an open mind and see how May does, but it still doesn't sit well with me.

Can't put a price tag on how satisfying it was to see what Harrison did tonite.

I know he leaves you feeling like there could be more consistency in there offensively, but Turang just wow. He could probably hit .225 & be worth everyday status on the glove alone. Looks like Contreras is starting to concentrate on getting the barrel out in front more often; I wonder if Turang should think along the same lines.

If memory serves, Drew Rom has been mostly disparaged on here. But maybe he'd be a better option than Hall until Romero appears?

I missed most of Miz's start on 7/26 (traveling).  But I don't recall watching 8 straight K's before.  It gives me hope Miz-Harrison-Henderson can carry them in the postseason.  Never been inpressed with Hall.  I keep wanting him to be better and he keeps letting me down.

During the long lament about the RISP thing, I was just as ticked off---maybe even more so---about the runner on 3rd w/less than two out thing. While it's similar I consider it a separate category. Mitchell in the 1st inning & Lara later on. Neither touched the ball. You get those two runs, the HR in the 7th by Pittsburgh isn't nearly as big a deal & maybe you don't even have to call on Uribe or Megill.

I’m not sure why everyone is so worried about the Cubs. Could they pass us? Yeah. But we’re now two games up in Atlanta for the 1 seed, and that should be the goal.

I was hoping for the Cubs sweep and thought most would be.

Sir we never root for the Cubs to win .

in all seriousness I do understand your point , and yes there was a silver lining either way.

1 seed isn’t the goal, a top 2 seed is.  The 2 seed is the sweet spot, assuming the Dodgers are the 1 seed and draw the Cubs in the NLDS.

Would much rather play the Cubs than Atlanta. NL playoff field is going to be strong, it is what it is. Gonna have to beat two good teams.

Goal is to avoid LA in a best of seven.
