Oh that’s such a huge play by Turang. It’s not just the outs. It’s the fact that he probably kept 10-15 pitches or more off of May’s arm. That gets by, still 1 out and you’re near 40 pitches at 1 and a third innings and workload and pitch count becomes an early concern on a day when you probably have 3 relievers unavailable or practically unavailable.

So since Hamilton was activated 15 games ago, Joey has been on the bench 10 games, played SS once, and 3B 4 times.

Hamilton has started at 3B 11 of 15 games.

It doesn't make sense.  Like I said, Murphy does MANY things right, but he's just not being smart about how he handles the 3B position.

I like Bunty, but I like him to play 2-3 times per week.  If I had my druthers in a 7 game week

Pratt - 6 Starts at SS
Ortiz-  4 Starts at 3B, 1 Start at SS
Hamilton- 3 Starts at 3B

In a 6 game week

Pratt-  5 Starts at SS
Ortiz,  4 Starts at 3B, 1 Start at SS
Hamilton, 2 Starts at 3B

When he was our hottest hitter, playing every day, no matter what arm the pitcher threw with, did it matter then?

It's just so odd that he is suddenly an afterthought to our line-up after being so vital for a month or so...

It's amazing that anyone can defend Murphy on this when offense has been a weakness, and one of our better offensive and defensive players has become meaningless.

To be clear, I'm not defending Murphy, just wondering if he's only been playing him for LH starters. I fully support him playing more.

Looks like May is an emotional pitcher. It will be important to keep him focused on the right things when the game goes a little sideways. The Brewers have had success with this.
