After 31 straight games as a DH, 23-year old Jeferson Quero (.741 OPS in 399 PAs) starts at catcher for AAA Nashville, who seek a 3-2 home series lead over Indianapolis. RHP Brandon Sproat makes his 2nd start since being optioned (4 IP, 6 R, 5 Ks last outing).

CF Braylon Payne (.930 OPS In 357 PAs) turned 20 years old yesterday and makes his AA debut today, as Biloxi need a home win over Pensacola to prevent a 10-game losing streak. RHP Bishop Letson (4.60 ERA, 1.44 WHIP, 8.8 K/9 in 72.1 IP) makes his 18th start.

Did I miss something on Adamczewski? Not in the line up for the 2nd or 3rd time in a row?

And Biloxi line up looks good (missing Adamczewski, Dinges and obviously Burke and Ragsdale) but hopefully the offense can get it going since the pitching cannot be trusted,

‘And let’s hope Sproat can find something during his AAA time - his demotion game 1 was not so good.

18-year old RHP Diustin Mayorquin is off to a solid start in Low-A ball (19 IP, 3 R, 10 Ks) and leads Wilson as they strive for a 5th straight home win over Columbia. SS Brady Ebel leads the team in hits, walks, RBIs, SBs, runs and triples.

Yeah looks like him and Dinges are both banged up. Not sure what the injuries are though.

21-year old LHP Wande Torres has been in solid form (2.72 ERA with 56 Ks in last 46.1 IP) and leads High-A Wisconsin at Cedar Rapids tonight. 1B Tayden Hall has been lighting it up in August (1.079 OPS in 49 PAs).

rough times on the farm today ... both DSL squads lose, including the Blue Crew losing to the Dodgers - boo..

Raymond Sarmiento who I had been highlighting this season, now with 2-3 less than inspiring outings now but he had a good year and likely will be stateside next season, along with a few other pitchers from the DSL.

BUt Wilson - tough night - down 7-1. I guess they are just trying to make the comeback more dramatic?

Shuckers - the offense got a few hits. But Letson with a poor outing stats-wise, as I haven't watched him, but nothing jumps out, except that he can hopefully rack up some innings and stay health and work on the development game.

T-Rats are up as the lone bright spot right now. Torres has allowed 1 run, well shoot error on the throw to get the runner and Torres allows 2 runs in his first 3 innings so far - he is in the 3rd inning and now walked both batters.

Well Biloxi did try to get back, but the 7-1 deficit was too much. But Fischer 0-4 with 2K is part of his mini funk.  Payne reached base his first 3 AB, and ended up 1-3 with 2BB. Final 7-3
Wilson banged out 13 hits with Jones, Antunez, Sabasthia and Montero asll with multi hit games, but it was a 8-3 loss after Diustin Mayorquins' first rough start in low A from what I can remember. Renz was decent with 4 IP of relief.
Still ongoing...
Wisconsin winning big 12-3, and Bitonti with two bombs, and another nice 5 IP performance by Mr. Wande Torres, who is looking like a solid arm at this time point. Dickinson continues to take with 2 hits (both 2B)
Nashville - Sproat went 5 IP, and didn't give up much, but the nearly 98 pitches thrown is the challenge with him. Quero was 1-2 and caught about half the game. Currently tied 3-3 in extras.

And Dickinson with a HR to go with his two doubles.  He is definitely hitting the ball lately. 15-3 T-Rats.

And Indianapolis gets a run in the top of the 10th. 4-3 Nashville now trails.

Digging into Dickinson. Since he hit his 1st professional HR on June 20th he has been pretty darn good. Here are the stats from my calculation including tonight's game:
slash BA/OBP/SLG/OPS - .307/.445/.542/.987
BB-rate of 17.6% and K-rate of only 20.8%
with 18 2B, 9 HR, 34 SB.

Nashville up trying to tie it or walk it off. but down 4-3.

T-Rats close it out, huge 15-3 win. With Dickinson remaining hot as noted above, as well as Tayden Hall and the solid start for Kyle Jones.

Yup how's that for introduction to AAA, but Blake works the full count, and flies out to center. Got under it, and the CF broke back at first, but raced in to catch it. Dang Sounds lose in extras 4-3

Even though the result weren't great there are some notable proformances.

Sproat 5 inning 0 runs 1 h 3 bb 8 ks

Dickinson 3/6 2 2b 1 hr 3 rbi, one of hottest hitter in all the minors the last 2 months, not much love outside of the updates.

Bitonti 2 jacks 4 rbi

Yannick Walther 3/4 quietly hitting over .280 with a ops over .800 at Appleton.

Wande Torres 5 solid innings, probably the most underrated arm in the system.

Antunez 3/4 currently batting .400 in Wilson. His stock has to be skyrocketing a his k's are coming down.

O'Rae 49th sb in 87 games on his return

Dickinson is hitting .333 with a .464 obp and a obps nearing 1.100 since the beginning of July. 8 HR, 13 2B 31 bb/29 k 22 sb in 126 abs. I would say AA is looking good if there is playing time.
