No question about it in my view. Frelich splits on lefties this year are freaking terrible.

Either would have been preferable but Vaughn is hitting .282 against right-handers this year. The only wrong answer was the one he chose.

I get the argument for letting Sal hit. Still early, you're trailing, and going with with Lara impacts two more ABs. Maybe you save Vaughn for another situation.

But, yeah, definitely one where there's a compelling case the other way.

If you were planning to use him already, just do it then.

Pretty hilarious managing to let Frelick hit against a LHP with the tying run on base and then an inning later pinch hit Vaughn for Hamilton to leadoff the inning down 3 runs
