Not announcers as in plural.. a certain part timer is spending far too much time thinking he’s still calling a national broadcast

Which is exactly what announcers are supposed to do. They aren't supposed to be fans of the team.

Uh, wrong. Regional broadcasters are partial to their home team across the board in literally every professional sport for every professional team and it’s not an unprofessional thing, it’s their home market.

Contreras swung at Ball 4 on the first 3-2 pitch and it would have been bases loaded with nobody out.

Those are the little things that kill you in big games. Like Vaughn swinging at ball 4 earlier and grounding into a double play instead of having 1st and 2nd with nobody out.
