For the hardcore analytics guys.   The cubs are the best offense and best defense in baseball.    At some point they have to stop choking games away right?    I mean the percentages have to be with them?

Gausman really shut us down last time. That splitter was landing a lot better. He’s getting a little dose of reality this time around.

Well, horrific bullpens and choking away games tend to go hand in hand.

Best defense doesn’t include pitching.

They have 2 SPs with a FIP below 4.40 and Gausman might not be in that group after tonight.

Umpire doesn’t have a clue

In this particular series the balls and strikes called have been awful.

Murphy must've had a talk with the team about challenges after their disaster last night. That's two so far they should've challenged.

Just wondering if Happ cried and cussed Henderson out when he got struck out by him again or if he just walked back to the dugout in shame this time.

I believe the Stanley Cup playoffs might have the WS playoffs beat for underdogs pulling off upsets. A goalie standing on his head and shutting the door on opponent(s) may be a greater random occurance in the NHL playoffs than upsetting a superior team in the MLB playoffs. Also home ice seems to be of very little consequence during a NHL series.

This is true, although it's somewhat mitigated by all four rounds being 7-game series. I'd say baseball is more random, but it's close.

Golly, on Marquee the Cubs are talking about 2 guys both coming back from their second Tommy John (Steele, Shelby Miller) as potential bullpen additions. That’s how you know they’re scared about their bullpen
